They did an awesome job with my wedding dress.. Other people ruined my dress but he fixed it right back. They have two locations and all of them are very professional. I dont know why the person before me commented on his odor, I guess when you have nothing nice to say or anything to say, DONT SAY IT. You are rude and its uncalled for. Maybe you should have taken your shoes with you. Anyway, I think they are veryyyy good and I suggest everyone goes there. Small shop, but very convenient.

So here is the situation. My fiance had brought in her wedding dress to get hemmed or what not. First of all, Alfred (owner) would really benefit from a nice shower. As the B.O. strangles the air of his so called success. Anyhow, my fiance was getting messured and all that jazz and specifically told him that she would be wearing 4inch heals and to leave the dress a little long and that if she had to come back to get it shortened she would do so. So our dear Alfred said, "sure, pick up the dress in a week." Well a week passed and we went to pick up the dress. The dress was totally how do i say, MESSED UP. First of all it was way too short. And the hemming was terrible, frayed and un-even.Absolutely looked like it was done that day in a rush. When we addressed this to the person that was working on the dress, she explained to just "wear" shorter heals." Where does she get off!!!! Especially when we had already purchased the 4 inch heals to go with the dress. On top of that when we complained about the quality of the hemming, she then went on to blame the machine. But then again if you say that "this is a popular hem" why such the poor quality? Her name is Diana by the way. So we ended up calling Alfred again and after a lengthy phone convo he said he would fix it. And explained that "I didnt work on it." He also mentioned that he had been in business for 30 years and that he works on "$3000 and up dresses" Are you kidding me? Just because our dress was in the 3 hundreds, does that mean that we get less quality work? Ridiculus if you ask me. Keep in mind no apology was recieved by either of them. But I guess thats what you can exptect from these Persian/Armenian people, ever go to a fellafel shop? Talk about down right rude!!!. Sorry for the racial comment but, hey they fit the bill. Anyhow DONT GO THERE!!!! We will see today if the dress comes out the way Alfred said it would come out.

The owner of the shop claims to have invented Euro-hemming, a type of hemming where you reattach the original hem to the shortened length 7-8 years ago. I don't think anyone can prove that he did, but he definitely tailors like he invented the craft! Awesome euro-hemming for a mere 19 dollars. Just because his store is in the mall doesn't mean it's another commercialized overrated store. Hell, even Nordstrom sends some of their tailoring to be done by this guy. There's a public fitting area, which can be a bit intimidating, but go early in the morning so no one will see you! This guy knows what he's doing, unlike the many other local tailors that don't know how to speak much English and offer horrible hems for $5. Got expensive Diesel/Seven/True Religion jeans that need hemming? You'll need the care of a professional to get them right, make no mistake and march over here now.

PROS: anything you want, he can do. euro-hemming is awesome
CONS: public fitting area

I trust him with any garment.
Small shop is located in the new wing of the Westfield shopping mall. You are on display while being fitted as the mirror is in the entryway - doesn't stop me from going there.
Service is prompt - clothes are always done in less than a week (could request anytime). Did a great job taking up the hem of lined satin dress pants - perfect even on the delicate satin and on shortening an asymetrical hem of a georgette fabric skirt. Also A second location for this store is in the Glendale Galleria Mall owned by the same family.

They do an amazing thing for shortening jeans - they move the original band on the bottom of the jean up to the new length and so the jeans look as if they were custom made to your height - costs a lot more than regular pants ($19?) but really worth it - especially if you need designer jeans shortened and want to keep the cool look of the bottom hem. I will never again make the mistake of letting Nordstrom shorten a pair for me where they just hack off the bottom and result in an ugly hem even though it's free.
