Went to the ER a few weeks back. My wife had pain and because she was pregnant we did not want to take any chances. The initial registration went smoothly. The first doctor came into the room and was very chatty. He kept trying to be funny but my wife and I had tough time trying to get him to focus. He left the room without telling us anything about course of action. Then the nurses and technicians start wheeling my wife into other test rooms, without for a minute telling us what they were trying to do. One of them even conducted ultrasound for all tests that had nothing to do with the problem. After almost an hour or so of waiting, another doctor came in, who was equally hurried and partly rude. He would not listen to us when we told him that we wanted to clearly listen to our baby in my wife's tummy or perhaps conduct ultrasound to make sure our baby was OK. We finally ended up calling in our OB/GYN's emergency doctor and she came in to take care of the situation.

We found the doctors at the Evergreen Hospital (Kirkland)'s ER group to be extremely unprofessional and they did nothing to resolve the problem that we went into the ER for.

I'm not the most compliant patient, a bit sarcastic, and I hate having extra "necessary" xrays or tests piled on. After spending 4 hours in the ER last night for a potential dislocated jaw and sprained ankle, I have to say that the care I received was top-notch. The staff was extremeley thorough and professional. They put up with me, and listened when I voiced concerns over taking a ton of xrays. I didn't experience any of the strange billing issues- the staff was concerned with getting me in and out- and making sure that every issue was addressed. If you have to go to the ER- I would highly recommend this one.

Wow am I lucky. My baby came early - a surprise. The doctors and nurses caring for both myself and my child were amazing. The level of care we received in recovery and in the Neonatal ICU (NICU)was bar none the best I've ever known.

Each child in the NICU had their own room. They even had a daybed, private bath with shower, mini-fridge and microwave (nearby) for me to use. I stayed 13 days with my child and saw first-hand how committed, caring and professional the staff was. From the girls delivering towels and blankets to the round-the-clock nurses to the neonatal doctors this team was the best.

The woman who runs the womens center meets each and every new mom, making sure she has everything she needs before, during and after delivery. I was concerned about my delivery, and she offered to come to the c-section herself to keep me comfortable.

The rooms are beautiful and thougtfully appointed with everything a new mom needs to take care of herself and her child. Even an extra daybed for dads to spend the night.

Can't wait to do it again!

I came here for an emergency room visit back in May 2007. The staff was very kind and professional and my treatment was great. Everyone I dealt with related to my ailment was very kind and ready to provide explanations for any questions I had.

At one point a woman came to take my insurance information, etc. Apparently, they bill as 2 separate entities, 1 as the Evergreen Hospital and 1 as the Evergreen Emergency Services. This was NOT told to me at the time and caused a lot of confusion later on.

Somehow the emergency services ended up with my correct insurance address, but none of my contact information except my name and phone number. They IMMEDIATELY sent my balance to collections. I was very upset with this. Why didn't they call me if they didn't have my address for billing???

The Evergreen Hospital entity somehow had the wrong insurance address (but did have my contact information). I am still trying to resolve the issue with their billing - they claim insurance has rejected the claim, but in fact I have verified with my insurance twice that the claim was never received. :(

I'm stumped as to how both the hospital and emergency services ended up with only small portions of the correct information. Either their intake process if severely broken or someone was asleep at the wheel on both ends.

I am only giving 4 stars because this is a hospital and well, I am not extremely fond of them. As far as hospitals go - this one is great. I had the misfortune of almost breaking my arm and had to go here. The staff in the ER was great and efficent. I got in and out in a relatively short period of time. If you have to go to a medical center - this should be one of your first choices.

We have had to take our sons to the emergency room a couple of times, for migraines, and an foot/ankle injury, and I have had to go from a bad sledding experience. Every time we have gone it's been the same, we have been seen very quickly, and have been treated with the very best, most commpassionate staff. It's a very clean and well run emergency room.

PROS: clean, great staff, very fast and efficient
CONS: construction has caused parking issues
