This zoo has a very organized layout which makes visiting with a big family easy. We especially enjoy visiting the gorillas that seem to live in a quite natural environment. I also notice that the animals here roam in a bigger space than those elsewhere. One thing that bothers me is that the zoo map shows a place for mountain goats but these are nowhere to be found. Also, I do wish parking can be cheaper on site though.

The Woodland Park Zoo is located near the Fremont district of Seattle.

The only bad things about the zoo are:
1) you have to pay $5 to park
2)not all of the exhibits are always open

I would reccomend that you either park in one of the surrounding neighborhoods and walk to the zoo, or just take one of the many busses that make regular stops at the zoo and save yourself the parking fee.

I also don't like that it seems like every time we go there, one or more exhibit is closed for renovation. I understand the need to make it better, but it would be nice to be able to see the animals that I paid to see.

Other than that, the zoo is just wonderful with alot of different animals and exhibits. It's a delightful way to spend the day and they have a butterfly exhibit that you have to pay extra to get into, but it's worth it. I think the extra cost is around $3 per person.

Very much reccomended.

I have to honestly say that this is one of the nicest zoos that I have ever been to. We took our sons and thier friends to check this zoo out one morning and spent pretty much the whole day roaming around checking out all the amimals. It's very clean, and the exhibits are done with the animals comfort in mind.

PROS: tons of animals and lots of fun
CONS: a bit over priced

This is one of the better zoos! I have a membership to it, and aside from the parking, the zoo is great. There are peacocks that run around free, and the animals are set up in great exhibits...LOVELY! We have a blast everytime we go. Staff isn't the most friendly, and the food is expensive but the animals make up for it.
