Mike is dishonest and rude. This is the second time I have used this facility. The first time was about 6 months ago and I thought I'd never go back after that time but this time, I thought another chance might be in order, so I went in. BOTH time Mike tried to upsell me, but it's not ok when he makes you feel STUPID for not doing what he suggests. He tried to talk me into a wax today. Well, my car had just been rubbed out and waxed less than 6 months ago and looked just fine, he tried to "prove" how wrong I was. Then, for the SECOND time, he tried to slip an upcharge by me... I guess he thinks customers won't notice but when you are on a strick budget, you notice. The first time I thought it was an oversight in that he changed me for extra service but never mentioned to it me. When all was said and done, after he ARGUED WITH ME and told he that he did tell me about the charge (THE FACT is HE LIED) then he took it off. This time I asked for the $15.99 wash. When I was walking to the cashier, I noticed I got a ticket for the $19.99 wash. It was a mess to correct and he made a absolute scene and ARGUED with me in front of other customers for over 3 minutes!!! He also lied to my face and told me I asked for "the works" wash when in fact, I NEVER mentioned a wash by name, only price. The issue was fixed but now I am SURE I will never be back to any Cobblestone. TNT is right near by and I've been there 20 times and never an issue at all AND they do a good job. Danny's also is outstanding for when I am east of home. First you don't argue with a customer in front of customers, you don't try and shame them into buying more than they came in for and you certainly don't try and cheat and steal for a few lousy bucks to make some quota or something!! The only ray of sunshine here was the cashier who was sweet and accomidating and told me she'd speak to her manager about the whole ordeal. She should NOT have to clean up messes left by Mike or anyone! If Mike had fixed the "mistake" without complaint like he should have, then I would have gone on with my day. But arguing with me, telling me (in essense, that I lied to him) is totally beyond the pale and I will tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY as I will from now on.

Had my SUV washed, I thought, after waiting 25 minutes for the "crew" to finish their jobs they left my car door open and ran my battery down. After I finally got a jump and stopping off at Sands Chevrolet for insight into my dead battery

For a large car wash with plenty of staff, they really could do a better job with the car wash piece of this business. The store is great with alot of "stuff" for your car, food and drinks and a great waiting area with a large TV and several couches and chairs. There is also a Dunkin Donuts on site. They last time I went there the DK rep was very pleasant and friendly.

Their downfall is the actual car wash, which is the foundation of their business. When I get my car washed, including paying extra for the upgraded wash, I expect EVERYTHING to be clean inside and out. It never fails that the portable ashtray is not emptied, the middle console area is not thoroughly cleaned and bug parts are still stuck to the hood and windshield. They also have never asked me what scent I want, so I assume they forget that part of the upgraded package.

When I was there a month ago they offered me a really, really good deal on a detail package and I bought it. My husband drops the car off tomorrow and we'll see how that goes. I will be inspecting everything that was promised and every nook and cranny to be sure it lives up to what I expect from a complete detail. Will update this post then.

This story starts with me heading to the "big city" to see Bodyworld at the Arizona Science Center (if you haven't, go see it . . . and buy your ticket on-line, it will save you hours in line). I live on the California side of the Colorado River across from my hometown, Yuma. Having spent 30 years in the Infantry (retired in 2005), I guess my tolerance for sloppy attention to detail is pretty low. At about 1500 hours on Thursday, 15 March 2007, I stopped at this place to get an oil change & car wash. My 2006 Toyota Tacoma was my military retirement gift to myself, so I'm a bit more than normally focused on it. Leaving aside the mediocre car wash (mud left on fenders, bird dung and mud left on the hood), what set my high-and-tight hair on fire was finding a 6 inch puddle of oil underneath the truck the next evening after Bodyworld and some errands. This is a Toyota with 23,000+ mostly road miles on it and was still tight as a drum before this trip (you are welcome to check my driveway back home for oil spots). When I opened the hood, I found oil on the fan shroud (my guess would be someone slopped it there when re-filling the oil), but the oil filter was tight. So, I crawled under the truck and, sure enough, the oil drain plug was finger tight. Given the late hour, I couldn't register my complaint with the company, but you can bet that I will stop by on my way back to Yuma tomorrow, but given the it-couldn't-be-our-fault response I seem to get from most businesses these days, I doubt I will get any satisfaction. Fairness demands I tell you that I used this place once before (for my other car) and there was no problem. Of course, if I was sitting by the side of I-8 in my new truck with a burned out engine, I might be more than a tad annoyed. Don?t forget to thank a veteran this Monday on the 4th anniversary of the invasion of Iraq . . . it's an ugly fight, but our service men and women are outstanding.

Pros: What was clean was good

Cons: Oil drain plug left finger tight & leaking; radio remote control was moved from console

This carwash was okay. the gas station part works great, just like most others. The store is still new, so it is relatively clean. The store staff is nice and the couches and tv is an nice touch. My problem is that my carwash was awful. The car came out of the wash as normal, and then they dried it. My car is blue and they used bright red rags which left bright red lint ALL over my car. The wash manager on duty then explained to me that it was not a detail service, just a carwash. I probably wont take my car back to get it washed here again.

PROS: store
CONS: wash

This is one of the best businesses that opened in Surprise. Our own car wash with fast and friendly service. They really take care of you here at Cobblestone, from when you first pull up. They have great equipment that prints you out a ticket right when you get there and then you can enter into their huge waiting area, equipped with a tv and lovely couches to sit on. They are still new so they need to expand on their interior shopping, but what they have is great. At Christmas time they even have a visit from Santa, which is sponsered by Coca-Cola, so the whole chair and setting is made out of 12 packs of Coke products. Really a neat atmosphere.
