On 01/09/2010 I stopped by to order a sandwich, cup of soup and a do-nut to go. After waiting for four or five minutes I finally got the attention of one of the two young ladies working there who were both in the back engaged in what was clearly a personal conversation.

I placed my order, ordering a club sandwich, on white, without no mayo. The young lady taking my order and I were both engaged clearly making eye contact, and responding to each other.

After another five minutes roughly I received my sandwich and soup to go. I opened the container and there was plenty of mayo on the sandwich, and there was no spoon for the soup. I was not instructed to get my own spoon and there was nothing obvious that would indicate to me that I had to get my own spoon, or other items such as napkins.

I spend almost $9.00, I spoke clearly, I was quite polite and kind in my tone.

Why did I have to wait for the people working to end their personal conversation to be able to place an order?

Why was my order made incorrectly despite having very clearly articulated and having confirmed the request for no mayo?

Why wasn't a spoon included or at least why wasn't I instructed that I had to include my own spoon?

This was such a simple order, such a simple process. Customer walks in, at least acknowledge the customer in within a minute or less even if you cannot take their order. Then when taking the order, read it back, then check it for accuracy prior to handing it to the customer.

I was driving, hence I ordered it to go. I am down the road when I realize that the order was made incorrectly! What should I do, spend more time going back, waiting longer, all to hopefully get the order that I had placed and already paid for?

There were no other patrons in front of me nor behind me so I cannot see any reason for the bad service.

The food was excellent, I have no complaints about the quality of the food. But the service was, well it was terrible. This is the second time I have received this same terrible service from this seemingly wonderful little cafe.

I will not return for a third time only to pay for bad service again, this regardless of the quality of the food.

If you are looking for a great cup of coffee and a pastry on your way up to Mt. Rainier this is the place to stop. Friendly service and reasonable prices are some the benefits of stopping here

A charming little coffee shop hidden just off the path to Mt Rainier in Eatonville, Truly Scrumptious is an indulgence that shouldn??t be missed. With a mixture of healthy breakfast/ lunches and decadent sweets it provides a delightful stop that fulfills everyone??s desires. The Summit Haus Wrap, coupled with a spinach salad with homemade Blackberry vinaigrette dressing, will have you coming back again and again. Top it off with an iced coffee and a toasted chocolate croissant for desert and you??ve got a day in heaven. For a little lighter snack, the Turkey Cranberry is not to be forgotten, another truly scrumptious favorite. With delightful staff and excellent service this is one stop you won??t want to miss.

Great food, soup, sandwiches. Salads all with homemade dressings and bread baking right there, The doughnuts and pastries are soo good. Alot of filling in the filled doughnuts, have never eaten any with more.
