Like kitchy-cool stuff? Tabletop in Dupont Circle is your kind of place. I've spent so much money in this store that I should own a piece of it by now.

This is one of those places with the entrance below street level, so make sure you don't miss it.

Inside you'll find a fairly small but well-lit place full of fun wonders for your house or apartment. Lamps and tables and knick-knacks, oh my! All in bright colors. I think I like it so much because it reminds me of the 60s.

One of my favorite purchases here is the most off the wall little bedside lamp ever in an orange artsy kinda shape. This stuff just defies description. I'm sorry, you'll have to go look for yourself to get the full effect of how fun all this stuff is.

The little gal who always seems to be working I go in is just fabulous. She's an artsy gal herself who would like to get into cartoon artistry and is very pleasant to talk to. Very much a people-person and perfect for this shop. Even if they didn't have such cool stuff, I'd drop in occasionally just to see her.

As far as prices, well, they're a little on the pricey side, but you can't find this kind of stuff just anywhere. I'm happy to pay a little more than I think something is worth to have it be so, well, different. I think that lamp was around $70 and I adore it.

I have on occasion found some great deals on variously shaped little glass vases and whatnot that I felt were fantastic bargains.

The place just has this over-all fun feel to it. Do find them, they're worth the little bit of searching.

PROS: Colorful, fun stiuff, great staff
CONS: Little pricey
