If you have never been to Volunteer Park or the museum you must go. You can really get lost in this space. They have a Japanese style house that is furnished in the traidtional style. You are allowed to go into it, so it feels almost like you aren't in Seattle for a little while. I have made some art based on the current exhibit in the kids art room. Beautiful getaway if you like the beauty and grace of Asian culture.

Even the entrance is very well maintained in this clean and quiet museum. The exhibits change often enough that everytime I go, I see something new. The guides are very well trained and educated, as they answered every question that was raised up very thoroughly. A mix of cultural collections are held here, and I would recommend this place to any art fan, history major, and those who are just interested in the Asian arts.

The replicas of the 15th-Century Ming Dynasty camels flanking the entrance to the Seattle Asian Art museum make a grand entrance to this small, quiet museum tucked away in Volunteer Park in Seattle's Capital Hill neighborhood. The exibits change frequently and the permanent exibit houses a good variety. The museum has scheduled docent-led tours and a kid's summer camp. Call for details!
