I am not into sports, but went along with my brother to this museum located in Balboa Park on a Tuesday when admission was free. I was very pleasantly surprised. It is three floors, although the middle is the main one. They have many exhibits that cover a wide variety of sports, ranging from football to baseball to bass fishing. My favorite was the surfing section. The displays themselves were very well put together, and it was obvious a lot of thought went into the museum as a whole. If you are in Balboa Park I would recommend stopping by the Hall of Champions.

The Hall of Champions has some cool sports memorabilia, but is not the most exciting museum in balboa park. It is average in size and it does not take long to walk through both levels. However, the variety of sports is wide. It covers sports ranging from football and baseball to surfing and bass fishing. It is a good place to stop on free Tuesdays.
