Smitty's Service

I chose this place as a result of all the credited reviews. And sure enough, Smittys Service lived up to their reputation.
I was told that I needed new brakes and I knew I needed an oil change. I was pretty apprehensive because I saw that they charge almost $90.00 an hour plus parts
With an appointment I was in and out of there super quick, in about half an hour. They were very nice and attentive. The best, part as it turns out, is that I didnt even need brakes. They found a loose clip and secured it at no extra charge! Another huge bonus is the 2 year hassle free warranty. Its nice to know that they stand behind their work!

Going to the dealer would've cost me twice as much since they insist on 30k mile inspection that amounts to nothing but wasted time on "if necessary checks". So if you want to bypass all that check this little shop out on Adams. I am going to go back for any future car needs for sure.

If you take your car to Smitty's make an appointment. You may wait for two weeks, but it will save you disappointment.First come,first serve does not work. I dropped my car off with them on Sunday evening. Put my keys in the night drop box. Tuesday afternoon, they had still not touched it. I had rented a car. Two day rental was $80. I decided to cut my losses and go elsewhere. Shame. They have done good work for me in the past.

Have been going here for several years, after trying several other places in San Diego. Best mechanics I have ever found in ANY city. Yes, they are very busy (and yes this IS a good sign!), but worth the wait to get you car in.
==> This is the only mechanic I have ever gone to who told me NOT to do some work I suggested they do because it was not really needed or because they could find a better and cheaper solution. How often do you find that in car care?
Also, had one occasion when they needed to spend a lot of extra time repairing a cooling issue on my old BMW, and they ended up spending a few days, waiting for parts, doing a bit of custom work and only charged me for the amount they initially estimated even though they did a lot of extra work to get it right -- because of my car, not because of their lack of knowledge.
Though not a BMW specially shop, they really knew my car. My partner also bring his Subaru there and has had great experience. THE BEST! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

i have been going to this place for car maintenance for a long time and i have always gotten excellent service from them. they are always on time in getting the car back and they always have the best prices. they are friendly and their customer service is outstanding.

The three times I have called Smitty's Service they have been very busy. I have been to the location twice and they were busy them as well. But that tells me people trust them and like their service. I decided to be patient and give them a try and I too was pleased with the service. Customer Service is ok - because they are so busy some of the friendliness was lost but I got done what needed to be done for a good price and I would go back again.

Honest and fair prices can be found at Smitty's autoshop. The service is great and the owner works directly with customers to ensure that they get the best quality for the best price. They do get pretty busy, but are efficient anyways. Plan ahead, just in case they are a little backed up.
