We try to support local retail but never again at Johnson??s Do IT. On a recent Saturday I visited the store twice with my 16 year old son. We rented a pressure washer and then purchased some supplies. When my son went back a third time with a friend to purchase a tool, he was detained by three employees, his bicycle was taken from him by the store manager and he was integrated and humiliated in front of other customers. When I asked the store why, their only response is that they don??t like teens in their store. Having been a teen myself, I will never return to Johnson??s. Discrimination of any kind is like a cancer in our society and not welcome in Maple Valley

This is a fantastic place. As pointed out by others, helpful and knowledgable people there. Free coffee and popcorn. I especially like the bins and bins of nuts, bolts and things. I can usually find anything I need there, unlike the Big Box stores with limited pre-packaged items.. Lots of neat things on their bargain tables too. I always find something I need in there. It's like a grown ups candy store.

I spent literally two hours at the Home Depot just down the road in Covington trying to find the parts I needed to fix an old steam cleaner I bought at a garage sale. Mostly I was looking for brass fittings and adapters for propane and water pipes. I finally had to give up. The people working at home depot were friendly enough, but they just didn't have the expertise to help me with my problem. Most of the key parts were either out of stock or not carried. ---I went into Johnsons, a fellow named Terry asked me if I needed any help. I described what I needed and he systematically took me around the store and found each piece... even the parts I didn't know the names of. It was amazing! In ten minutes I had all the parts I needed. I went home and put the steam cleaner back together and it works incredibly well. It sounds like the afterburner of a jet plane and irritated all of my neighbors, but it cuts through pitch and tar like nothing I have ever used before.---I can't tell you how many off the wall parts I have found over the years at this store. They have had everything from a light bulb for a bicycle generator light that previously I had been ordering from England, to a cable swager that I used to put up a makeshift crane out of irrigation pipe and a Harbor Freight electric winch that I used to lift twenty squares of roofing to the top of our three story house.Did I mention that they always have the best hot popcorn for free in the store as well? If you want to buy an appliance Home Depot might be a good place to check, but if you want to get some work done, go to Johnsons where they have the parts and the people who can really help.

This local hardware store is good if you just need to run up and get a few things. It has many different areas, gardening, plumbing, electrical etc. It doesn't have a huge selection like a Home Depot would have, but they do ok. The gardening center has a good selection of perennials and some decorative items as well. One of the reasons my kids like going there is for the free popcorn! It is centrally located and has easy access from 169. It is pretty competitive where the prices are concerned.

Johnson's Home and Garden features superior customer service and knowledgeable employees. The store is smaller than a Home Depot or Lowes and can be a bit cramped. Selection is smaller than the chain stores but youll get good advice. Pricing can be higher than other stores but the convenience more than makes up for it.

Bring the family and enjoy the free popcorn. Johnsons is a community favorite.

This is a great hardware store that has everything you need. It's small and quaint, but has great customer service and they are super friendly. Prices are a little higher than the big box hardware stores, but you can beat the hometown feeling. Pick up some free popcorn while you shop. They have what you need - not a big selection, but usually can find what you are looking for.

We use the Johnson's Home and Garden store fairly often because of it's great location in Maple Valley. But they also have a nice selection of items and a very friendly staff that keeps us coming back. They also serve free popcorn to the customers which keep the kids happy while we shop. The prices are a little higher but worth it.

Johnsons Home and Garden is a local Maple Valley Do-It Center that carries all kinds of different home fixing items. The store itself is clean and the staff friendly. Prices are ok but I would recommend researching prices compared to Home Depot or Lowes if you are on a budget and are doing a larger project in your home. A nice perk is the free popcorn they give out.

This store is smaller than most home and garden stores, but it feels more comfortable here and the smaller items, like nails, are cheap. I also like the fact that they give away free popcorn.
