I didn't use their service because the price was too high.

I only wanted a shirt and pair of pants pressed. It was over $10.00. Come on?!? Same-day dry cleaning only cost a few cents more but even that was a kinda high.

I live in Oakland where the prices are much lower for most everything. I guess I'll continue using my neighborhood cleaner because except for absolute emergencies, the prices over here are just too darn high.

I spent nearly a decade getting my wardrobe serviced by Gary of Gary's Professional Wardrobe Services on Haight, so I consider myself somewhat of a dry cleaning snob. I moved across town (after Gary retired and closed shop) and I was forced to find a new dry cleaner. I was happy for Gary's newfound freedom but sad to lose contact with a friend and true San Francisco character.

The guys at Martinizing have made the adjustment easier. Quality is good, and they track who racks up bills there and know who their good customers are (a sign that they're good business owners and operators). Sometimes they seem a little overworked and grumpy, but the service is reliable -- which is obviously critical.

PROS: Reliable service
CONS: Expensive and reluctant rush service

I've been using Eugene's shop for several years and its a given that all clothes come back spotless and prestine and mended, if needed. They also maintain great prices

They remember your name, they remember your needs. Very friendly family-owned shop.
