I recently applied a mortgage with this bank but got a very disappointed experience. When I first applied the mortgage and locked the rate, the loan specialist did not tell me in advance that I will not have a chance to roll down my rate. This is not the right way of doing business. Secondly when the owner (Sponsor) sent me a letter ready for closing, my attorney forwarded a copy to bank's attorney. However, due to lack of individual CO, bank's attorney rejected to close until such document is obtained. After a month, I knew the owner is not going to get such document in near future, so I asked the bank (loan specialist) to write me a letter just indicating the fact so that my attorney can write to owner(Sponsor) that it's not my default of delaying the closing as there are successfully closing alrady gone through (as there are other banks willing to close deals with the Sponsor). However, I have been asking for such letter from First American Int'l Bank (the loan specialist) for over three weeks. She kept on saying she's been very busy and letter will be emailed or faxed to me but not sure when will be done. However as of today, I still not receiving anything. I then asked who is her manager or she can ask her manager to write such a simple straight forward letter. She then responded she is the manager in the branch. I don't know what to do and will recommend whoever want to do business with First American Int'l Bank better think it twice! It is a VERY VERY unhappy and unsatisfied experience!!!!

I am a mortagage customer of this bank, and I have been treated badly. They are not professional and have no complain procedure in place. They have employed an appraiser who has made a faulty appraisal report, and they said the appraisal report was misleading, but they haven't done anything wrong. I have complained to them since October 2007, they couldn't even found the correct person to take my complain, and asked me to write to the president instead. I have written to the president, and the letter was passed to the original person! I wish I can get out of this bank.
