I'm a huge used books tore fan. If you don't want to make the trek to the Wheaton Library for their used book sale, this is definitely a great second choice. They have a pretty good selection of books that are well-organized by type. They also accept donations of books that are in good condition. I both donate and purchase books here and the staff is super warm and friendly. A very nice used book shopping experience in Rockville!

PROS: Great Selection!
CONS: Hidden Away Behind White Flint

I love finding bargains, and I love reading, so the Friends of the Library bookstore is perfect because it meets both needs! I can always find books from my favorite authors relatively cheaply (50 cents to a few dollars). I also end up donating several books to the library while I'm there. The donations are tax deductible. They even have a website that you can viist to find out what they have. Would highly recommend.

This is my absolute favorite place to buy books. You can get really good quality paperbacks and hardbacks for 50 to $2, and a lot of the times you can even find relatively new books. Many of the books come from donations and also from when a popular book which had multiple copies in the library are no longer need. The place is a little musty, and it takes some digging and luck to find something that you want, so you have to go in here not looking for a specific book but with a bunch of general titles or authors in mind. I also love the one in the Wheaton Library basement.
