For a $5 corkage fee, you can bring wine and drink it there. We went for the early bird special which costs $11-13 for a salad, soup, summer roll and an entre. For the starters, we all really liked the salad that came with the special. It wasnt mind blowing or anything but it was very good. Everyone loved the summer roll with the sweet dipping sauce. The Tom Yum soup was also great. Two of us got it and both loved it. Its spicy but not too spicy. I was expecting spicier after reading other reviews. My girlfriend and her friend got the shrimp dumpling and liked it a lot.
For the entre, my girlfriend got the Garlic Sauce w/ steamed veggies and a side of coconut rice. We all agreed that was the best dish of the four. The Spicy Noodles came in second place and was very very good. Third place went to my Pad Thai which was just okay Pad Thai. It certainly wasnt bad but it wasnt much better than anywhere else. Last place, which was still good went to the Pad Woosen. Next time Ill try out some of the curry dishes because theyre supposed to be good.
For dessert, we split the Baked Pear with Lychee Fruit Sorbet and thought it was great. We actually finished the bottle of wine and I bought another glass from the restaurant for $2.50. $2.50!! It was table wine and wasnt anything special but $2.50 for a glass of wine in this city is a steal.
The service was amazing! We got there at 6:15 on a Wednesday (early bird lasts until 7), and sadly for the restaurant, we were the only ones there. The waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. I tipped him 25%. This is a value restaurant, not flashy. For great decor, go elsewhere. For a really good meal at an AMAZING price, go here. The place started to fill up aound 7:15 but for the life of me, I cant understand why it was empty when we got there during the special hours. For all four of us with wine, dessert, 4 early bird specials, a side of rice and a 25% tip, it came out to $78 for a great meal. I'll be back!
Pros: Everything
Cons: Decor was average but for this value, who cares?
