The menu selection is very unique and a little pricy, but the quality of food is wonderful and the staff is great as well. If you are looking for a great place to take a date, then I would recommend this place.

The restaurant is fabulous on all levels.
The food is high quality and fresh. It is one of the only places that serves game (venison, boar). The chef/owner has created incredible recipes that keep us wanting more.
The entrees have such great sauces and glazes that compliment the flavors.

The atmosphere is great in the dining room, but for a little change, it is a lot of fun to sit in the kitchen! For a more romantic and quiet evening, I like to request the wine cellar. There really isn't a bad seat in the place.

The stone bar is just an amazing piece of workmanship. It has been there FOREVER. Such a great conversation piece if the company isn't so great.

The servers are well informed about all the dishes and have tasted most of them. Their recommendations are definitely reliable.

I must admit that we like to go quite often. We visit many restaurants, but by far, this is one of our favorite.

Pros: The drinks are nice.

Cons: Parking can be tight. The lower lot is a little far on cold nights.

For God's sake the Dunkin' Donuts in Stroudsburg gets an 8.4 on this site. The Stone Bar has been delievering the best all around dining experience in the Pocono area for the past 2 decades (I believe). The food here is American classic. I'm not talking about burgers and cheesesteaks o.k. I'm talking Wild Game Entree (Boar, Vension), Crab Cakes with Romulade sauce that you would trip your grandma down a flight of steps to get at. Andy (the chef/owners name is Andrew Moore - I always think to myself Andy is the best chef in this area as if I know him - I don't) has an app. that is Bake Brie with apples and some kind of raspberry sauce (that's right sounds odd but is heavan in your mouth) that is glorious. Andy's (it's fun to think of him as Andy I don't know why) sauces are a staple to his dishes (see Romulade sauce). His Romano Crusted Chicken with peppers is better than my Italian ancestors intended. Go here. The bar always mixes up the Best Martini's too. You can thank me later.
