I live in Old Bridge but was going to another pharmacy. The staff there are rude and slow. I have to call for prescriptions days in advance and they are always out of stock. My friend told me about Woodlane and I transfered all my prescriptions there. I was amazed at the way the staff is so attentive, fast, and curteous. It also helps since they do delivery. They are willing to bring not just drugs but over the counter medicines and other items they sell in the store as well. I am very happy I changed my pharmacy to Woodlane. I get to interact with a very friendly and fast staff. Once I had a medicine that was not covered by my insurance so not only they called my doctor to change the medicine but also gave me a discount. My previous pharmacy since it was a chain never did that for me. Thank you woodlane for all your help and all what you do for me. I really appreciate your hard work and fast/amazing service.

I just called them an hour or so ago, and asked them to deliver robitussin cough gels and some sudafed, and I got a 100 pack of Advil liqui-gels, and a bottle of robitussin cough and congestion (syrup). When I noticed this, it was too late to tell the delivery man, so I called them back. They told me that nobody can come back here until tomorrow to do the exchange, and wanted me to go drive there. I don't have a car. I cannot breathe out of my nose, or taste anything, and on top of that I have a horrible cough that is killing my chest. I would just take the syrup, but my stomach cannot tolerate it. What am I supposed to do for the night?! I am verrrry unsatisfied, and will never use the delivery service again. I am surprised, because they are speedy when it comes to filling prescriptions, and are very helpful, but their delivery sucks!

I used this pharmacy a few times and found very fast and friendly, but just a little info for general public as I work in a retail pharmacy - the retail prices quoted by any pharmacy anywhere in the US have no bearing on what your insurance company will pay the pharmacy for the same drug. The insurance co.s have their own way of calculating the prices( based on AWP - Average Wholesale Price) for all drugs in US, and all pharmacies are paid based on that, and not based on retail prices. The claim by james t. here that insurance costs are going up because of retail prices is not correct. Your insurance co. will determine what they will pay the pharmacy and what copay you will pay at the pharmacy counter, so the price for any medicine you get will be same ( may be a few cents difference) no matter which pharmacy you go - chain or independent !! And, 98% of all meds being filled in any pharmacy now a days are on an insurance plan. So if you want to choose a pharmacy, select the one which is convenient for you and like the service you get. Call and see who will answer the phone better and show interest in getting your medicines filled rather than brushing you off and putting you on hold forever, like most chains do because they are just understaffed (like mine is always).

Also remember, you can call any pharmacy and ask to talk to the pharmacist at no charge and get valuable medical advice - for free - without even being their customer !!!!! Would a lawyer, doctor, accountant, plumber, landscaper, automechanic do that ? Use your pharmacist services and appreciate what they do for you - for free !!! They don't get paid for the advice - they all have the same fixed salary irrespective of their service !!

I just moved to this area and took my prescriptions to woodlane pharmacy. Its a great pharmacy with amazing people who are very organized and friendly. Their free delivery service is also a plus for me. They are the group of great Indian people I have met in my life (unlike james t.'s review below). I would like to thank the pharmacy for filling my prescriptions so quickly and for the pharmacist to take their time out to counsel me. I would definately recommend this place for my family and friends.

this pharmacy changed owners a few years ago and ive been disappointed in it since then. the new pharmacists were indifferent to my concerns about medicines interacting, i didn't feel he was very knowledable. however they do deliver which was a plus - but not enough of a plus to keep me from moving my prescriptions to CVS.

the prices they quote for generic drug are insane!!!.like the last post said they are higher than chain drug stores but that is a serious understatement.the prices are around 4 times as much!!!!i pay cash and have no insurance so obviously this bothered me,but just a warning for those who do have insurance and could care less what they charge the insurance company, its this blatant overcharging of insurance companies that makes our insurance cost so much or makes our empoyers pay so much.so basically, even if you have insurance it is wise to shop around and your stomach will turn when you find out what they charge compared to other"mom and pop pharmacies"my suggestion is union hill pharmacy just 2 miles away.the prices are 1/4th of woodlane and they are just as mom and pop as woodlane, even more so as they are american owned rather than indian.

Our pediatrician recommended this pharmacy when we needed our first prescription filled. The doctor had ordered a special "concoction" for diaper rash that this pharmacy filled frequently for his patients. We were new to the area, so we figured we'd give them a try. They filled our prescription while we waited, and accepted our insurance plan. I have no complaints!

PROS: good location, friendly employees
CONS:

Local drug store with "mom and pop" feel. Employees know you by name. Pharmacists are efficient and knowledgable. They will take the time to speak to you personally and answer questions. This drug store offers a service that few others offer --they will deliver tright to your door. Prices are a little higher than chain drug stores. They also sell a full line of collectible items. Store is clean. Small parking lot.
