If I could give 0 stars, I would. This company bought the building I lived in halfway through my lease.
When I told them I was planning on not renewing, they started scheduling viewings 3 months prior to when my lease was up. I sent a letter asking if there was any way possible they could scale back viewings, because I was nervous about so many people in and out of my apartment so frequently. They did not.
One day, one of their agents let a man, who was standing outside of the building, in to see the apartment along with someone who had made an appointment. The agent had ZERO contact info, not even the name of this man, and let him in.
My laptop was STOLEN during that viewing. Kass took no responsibility and I found out the agent who showed my apartment was a sophmore in college, who would be leaving Chicago to go back to school. I had to employ a lawyer to replace the laptop and Kass only ended up paying half for it.
TERRIBLE company, incompetent staff, nightmare to deal with.
I appreciate the great follow up from Kass Management. I work during the night, and Kass was kind enough to not disturb me during the day while I sleep, and instead was able to cater to my schedule to communicate with me. It means a lot as a tenant to have a good back and forth between property management. Past company's I have rented from would not even as so much as send a reply back. Thanks Kass!
THEY RECENTLY TOOK OVER MANAGING THE BUILDING WE HAVE A CONDO IN

I TOOK A TONS OF CALL AND E-MAILS AND STILL NOTHING WE HAVE NO HEAT TILL THAT DAY
IT IS BELOW 64 F DEGREES . THEY DON'T CARE BUNCH A BS LIES YEAH WE ARE WORKING ON IT
SO HARD TO REACH NOT RESPONDING ON PHONE CALLS OR E-MAILS ,THEY SEND SOME VERY
UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE TO LOOK AT THE ISSUE STILL NOTHING BEEN HERE 3 TIMES OVER THE LAST 30 DAYS AND MEANWHILE ME AND MY WIFE ARE SUFFERING IT IS BELOW 30 OUTSIDE.

My heater broke during the coldest days of the year...how long did it take them to fix it? TWO DAYS. My apartment was below freezing and unlivable. The pipes have froze twice.
The people that work here are also jerks that do not care about you or your apartment. They lie about the price of rent to get you to sign a lease, and then raise it when you get to the office. It also takes them forever to get around to your paperwork. Security deposit is a month's rent plus $100 -- I mean, that makes no sense and just proves how much they like to take advantage of you. The lobby and outside of my building is always dirty and not maintained. In fact, I had to move into a dirty apartment with many burned out lightbulbs. Our landlord never returns our calls and it takes on average 3 requests to get any repairs. I have plenty more stories, but you get the picture!
I only still live in my apartment because I love the size and location, and is a decent price (though overpriced for putting up with their bs!) and I stupidly hoped that things would improve. I was wrong.
Pros: buildings could be nice if they were taken care of
Cons: bad customer service: deception, lazy employees, not dependable, office in hard to reach location, do not return your phone calls
