Same experience here ... Coming from Europe, the ring for my girlfriend was discounted from $2900 for $650, because they have to move (I think and hope they have run out of business). unlike the other writer I like NY ;-)
But I DO NOT LIKE TRAVERS FINE JEWELRY on 5th

My short trip to New York was a huge eye opener! No one says thank you, nor do they even care to. They laugh at you if you tell them they should!

One of my visits in New York was to the Travers jewelers on 5th ave. I had no idea it was to become of of the worst experiences ever.
I bought a ring for about $2,000. Before I even left to go home while waiting for my plane a diamond came out of the ring. I called them as soon as I got home and asked them about it. They said they would fix it if I mailed it to them. Fine. Only, to insure they would get it I have to send registered mail with insurance. Cost is about $20. I recieved it back after the fix it. But the fist time I wore it again, it lost another diamond. I am not an active person. I am a home maker and I rarely wear this ring! I called them again and they said the same thing. Another $20 to ship and get fixed.

I got it back and again the first time I wore it the diamond came out again. This time I told them to not send it back to me that I wanted a refund. This 3 time is within 6 months of having the ring! They did not refund me and again sent it back without my consent. After this 3-4 time of spending $20 to mail it back to get fixed I was scared to wear it. I finally wore it again 2 days agao and again the diamond fell out. I called them again and the man was rude saying sorry there is noting I can do about it! What! I spend $2,000 on a defective ring and you cant do anything about it! I would like my money back. This ring is no good. I live in a different state and will never go back to the rudest, who cares about anyone city!

I would like to report this very rude company and if you care to help me like a decent company, I would like my money back!!
