Unlike the other reviewer, I had a great experience with Northtown. Out of all the dealerships I went to, I had the best experience here and got the best price on the model I wanted. Additionally they did a great job giving me personal service that was anything but high pressure. One note that may be important is that I dealt with the Mazda division, not the Lexus dealer as did the other reviewer.

While I did have some slight experience with a high pressure salesman on the phone (I called for a price quote on a vehicle while they were running an advertised promotion and the sales person I was transferred to kept urging me to come in in the next few hours because the model I was interested in was "flying off the lot". I ignored him, came in a few days later like I had planned and miraculously there were plenty available) when I got there in person the emphasis was squarely on what I was looking for and getting what I wanted.

I think the sales experience at a dealership is largely a matter of the particular salesperson you interact with, and there are some good and not-so-good ones at any place. If you're an informed conumer you'll be able to deal with the not so great ones and appreciate the good ones.

Unlike the salespeople at some of the other area dealers I went to, mine was friendly courteous and informative. He did a great job breaking down the differences in the choices I was considering and didn't try to push a more expensive vehicle or options on me. When I picked up my car he made sure not just to deliver it, but to educate me about it, the dealership, and effectively answered every question I put to him.

My experience here was very good and based on that I'd recommend Northtown.

PROS: Good sales experience, nice facility
CONS: Phone salesperson on one occaision was pushy

Buying a car is always a harrowing experience, but it is ten times worse at Northtown. Every salesman there is a true car salesman, you cannot trust a thing they say. They lied about many things - but in Western New York, Northtown is the only choice for buying a Lexus - you are at their mercy and they know it. The Toyota dealership is just as bad. The mechanics in the services department are great, but the customer service is miserable.
