This is one of my favorite restaurants. It has it all. A great atmosphere for friends, families, and couples. They have a wonderful bar. The food is always on par. And most importantly, the service is ALWAYS exceptional. The drinks are on the expensive side but splurge once in a while. I promise you will only need one margarita.

What can be better than a delicious margarita the size of your head? Dancing with a mariachi band while you drink it! Whether you stay in the bar area or sit down for some dinner this place is great for dates, families, or friends. Good food but even better is the drinks and entertainment. Make reservations on the weekends!

Lalo's margaritas is the one that I use to compare all other margaritas to. Hands down the best in the city.

I just have to say that we went out of our way to eat there. I was not impressed! I was just about done with the Large Margarita, and my Husband asked how it was. Well I would usually be laughing by now. I really do not think that there was any liquor in there. And for that Price? I will try a different place! I pass.

Lalo's is awsome mex food. Wonderful to bring the kids, and I go for the Margarita's and their soup.
Like my home cooked chicken soup.
The waiters are friendly and like family.

I don't know why this place comes so recomended. I mean, sure, the ambiance is nice, but the food is SO overraed. If your looking for the real thing, go to the Pilsen/Little Village area. I promise you that you will find some of the finest authentic Mexican food in the city.

We called to see what the wait was, and they said that we could walk right in and that there is no waiting for 2 people. We drove right over - 5 minutes later - and ended up waiting at the bar for 45 minutes. The margaritas are expensive and the crowd could use some polishing up. The food was extremely disappointing. We both got fajitas and they looked like the food was scraped off other people's plates and put on ours. The steak was low end meat and both the steak and chicken had no flavor. If it wasn't for the powerful margaritas, I would have run out screaming, or did I?!!

Cons: terrible food, too expensive, bad crowd

Excellent service, really good mexican food and a uniquely decorated space on LaSalle (the old Jordan's restaurant) make this a treat for lunch or dinner. My lunch and it was up in 15 minutes tops. The waitstaff was attentive and the price was right. The coolest thing was the space. It's a huge, multi-level building with a different feel to each level.

Great place to grab some good, solid mexican.

AFter craving good Mexican food, I stumbled across Lalo's on Clybourn. Having been there for HUGE margaritas before, I decided to try out their food. Unfortunately it was NOT very good, especially since the enchiladas were frozen in the middle.

I do not recommend this place for eating.

This is Mexican food 101, and it always delivers on a promise. The pull here is the location, consistency, generous portions and reasonable prices. Plenty of seating practically negates any wait time, even on the weekend evenings. There's…
