Jensen Property Management

I have now lived here for a year and a half and extremely regret extending my lease from them. It took them a year to fix my dryer, and then asked me to pay a bunch of fees on my account and told me it was my responsibility to figure out what these expenses are. Their front desk is rude and unhelpful, they are extremely unorganized and have no respect for their tenants.

They don't care about the apartments and tenants but they do care about the money. The monthly utility bill (UB) was way too high around more than 100 bulks (average ((UB)) in ames $40).

Do not rent an apartment from Jensen property management. The unit might be O.K but the maintenance will be terrible and try to rib you off all the time.

Lived in apartment building for two years. Incredibly poor quality, old appliances (out of date, always breaking). The walls seemed wafer thin. Internet bandwidth was pathetic and cable quality went down with a stiff breeze. Office staff was useless. They don't communicate with each other, i.e. maintenance, reception, accounting. Never responded to maintenance requests apart from changing an air filter every 8 months. Ice covering parking lot all winter, slipped many times and had my vehicle hit. Installed lighting in for the parking lot after the two years I lived there. "Lost" rent three months in a row, but "it's your word against theirs" until you show them statements showing they cashed your disappearing checks; they have "5000 units to look after so you're supposed to give them a break". Useless.

jensen property took my security deposit, made a self-admitted accounting error and has yet to return my deposit.

We rented from Jensen for one year and lived in a wonderful townhouse. We absolutely loved that place and hated to move when I was transferred out of town. The staff was wonderful to deal with and they helped us to get out of our lease and find a subleasor. They were also great when we needed repairs - very fast and friendly!
