I was surprised to see bad reviews on here. This is my favorite restaurant in Greektown. I have been eating here since I was a little kid (I'm 25). The atmosphere is lively and loud, just like a Greek restaurant should be, in my opinion.

Turn on your faster than a Greek waiter.

I am Greek so I know Greek food and any god food for that matter. I have been to other Greek restaurants which have been equally disappointing.

Their food does not taste like Greek food. Whoever says it is authentic they do not know Greek food. My girlfriend and I both have had stomach problems from eating there even the next day.

It is very pricey and bad quality.

The waiters are not polite. The toilets stink very badly. They toilets and smoking toilets!!! so watch out for your kids going in there.

Do not go there.

We recently went to the Pegasus for dinner, and had a really nice sit down dinner. Yes the service was not the fastest, but they were friendly, and the food was so good it made up for everything else! I had the lamb which was yummy. My mother-in-law had the ribs n chicken dinner (I know not greek food) but it was really good.

This is a nice place and one of the few left. I would hate to see it close too.

Pegasus is about ambiance and enjoying a slow, well made meal. I wouldn't plan to go here for a quick bite, but to sit and enjoy your meal with good company in a Greek inspired setting right by the Greektown casino; it isn't easily beat. Great hard crusted bread with dipping oil or flaming Saganaki cheese and a beer at the bar to a full course meal at the dining tables, everything is well presented and delicious. Yuvetsakee (hope I spelled it right) is a rare treat and I highly recommend it, I get it with the Rosa Marina noodles and the stewed lamb, emmm mouthwatering. This isn't the cheapest restaurant in Greektown, but it is one of my favorites.

i recently went here with some of my friends, now mind you, i'm 17 and they're 19. my friend asked our waiter what he recommended from the menu, he, of course, recommended one of the most expensive things on the menu, the shrimp. later when we ordered, my other friend ordered the shrimp while everyone else went with something more affordable, considering the shrimp was $22. when we got our food, we thought it was a joke, he got six medium sized shrimp, and some nasty looking green peas. later, my friend was able to laugh at this, but at the time he was VERY upset, as were we. i personally would recommend the parthonon, which is just across the street, or pizza popolis.

Pros: feel of a high class restaurant

Cons: high price with small portions

The food here is authentic and very good. However, service is less than stellar. We asked our server to wrap up leftovers and instead he threw them away...then didn't offer to correct his mistake.

Great food but you feel as though your being rushed. During peak times it can get very busy and load. Still recommended.

Pros: Quality of food and nice pre-dining bar area

Cons: Walking to restaurant because of the beggers. Feel rushed by wait staff.

Everytime I go to this waste of space the service always sucks. AT the Bar the asian waitress is unhelpful, rude and very very mean to colored customers. I have talked to the manager about this many times beforehand, but no one seems to care and no one wants to do anything. If i have to go to this establishment, DO NOT GO TO THE BAR!!!. They should really consider firing this waste bartender, if one could call her that.

I have been going here for years to celebrate special events and holidays with my family because of the wonderful greek food. It has always been fresh and tasty. However, each time we have gone, our service has gone from bad to worse. The last straw happened when one of the waiters caught our breadbasket on fire with the Saganaki. I complained to the manager, but she said that happens sometimes, and didn't seem to care, she also was very rude. Even though the food has always been good, the service plays a major role in the whole atmosphere. It really ruins what ever event you have gone there to celebrate. That is why my rating is so low. I really believe service plays a large role in making the evening wonderful at whatever restaurant you go to.

Well this has to be the best restaurant in Detroit that I have found yet. A Greek friend of mine says that the food is VERY authentic, just like her aunts and mom make. The service is SUPERB and the food is awesome. This place is A+++, highly recommeded.

Pros: good food, pleasant dining, unusualy dishes

Cons: parking in Greektown, beggers on the street, pricey, but worth it

Editorial from

Detroit's Greektown is one of the few places where people can dine after midnight---well after midnight, as a matter of fact. This spot, marking more than two decades on the scene, serves until 1 a.m. Sunday thru Thursday, and until 3 a.m.…
