I have been coming here for over 20 years. My father who is in the demolition business directs everyone in his company to come here as well. Even my kids love going just to talk to James the can guy. I have called around checking prices on occasion and they are always one of the top as far as prices go. \r\n\r\nThey are exremely freindly and have never had any issues with them in regards to my weight. Plus I am pretty sure the scales are regulated by the state. As far as the drivers license issue they guy above mentioned. I am pretty sure the reason they ask you for your DL is because the state requires ID for sales of highly stolen items like copper etc... \r\n \r\n\r\n I think the angry guy above me probably didnt get ripped off.... but did possibly get paid for the wrong truck. They must have several hundred trucks in that place on any given day, so there are bound to be several of the same kind at any given time. (red chevy's; white fords; blu dodges; etc). Pretty sure they also put a partial license plate # on the ticket. I have never had any issues at all so it is hard for me to say. But I find it hard to believe that they wouldnt be willing to resolve any issue that comes up if you simply ask. \r\n\r\n Maybe they dont have some fancy outdoor reader for the scale. Just like the small hardware store down the street from me doesnt have those self checkout lanes like Home Depot does. They are a family business not some big national corperation. \r\n\r\n Bottom line... If you want a clean, safe, family freindly place to recycle scrap metal, then this is the place for you. \r\n\r\n

IGot ripped off good by this family busIness. Saturday 11/20/2011. Had a load on my pickup and forgot I had to leave town early Monday morning on a trip. Needed to get rid of it. The firm I usally sell to was closed so I took it in to Langley. There is no visible weight in scale indicator for you to read your weight going in and out (first indicator of rip off). I had taken several loads into my other recyling business and know about how much I have on my pickup. This day I am sure I had 800 to 1000 lbs of metal. When I went to the office for payment they noted my out of state drivers license and the receipt I got was for 5000 gross weight (another sign of a rip off). The net weight was for a lot more than my pickup weighs at other recylers. I got paid for 280 lbs of metal, $23 and some odd cents. I can go on but won't except to say all of my future business will be with other recyclers., DON'T GO ACROSS THEIR SCALES UNLESS THEY HAVE A VISUAL READ FOR YOU TO RECORD YOUR WEIGHTS. DON'T DO BUSINESS THERE OTHERWSE.
