The previous post is so typical of my fellow Palmyrans. You hate change! You fought the opening of the WaWa but now stand in line there every day for coffee. You fought the Riverline for years but now take it to work everyday. You still think Brad gave better service. Wake up! That was 2004! Over FIVE years ago now!. How can you possible compare service delivered in 2004 with service delivered in 2008/2009? How many businesses that were open in 2004 are now closed in 2009? It's a tribute to Tom and Russ that our Hometown Pharmacy is still open! Ever been forced to mail your Rx's by your insurance company? Ever heard of Medicare Part D? Ever hear of the CVS/Caremark merger? Tom and Russ deal with it everyday. Well, guess what? The beloved Brad NEVER HAD TO! He sold us out! He sold the store and walked away...and I might add without telling anyone! Compared to him, Tom and Russ are amazing! They know my name when I walk in. Try getting that at your new corporate owned pharmacy. They know my meds and catch problems. They SMILE when they see me (Brad NEVER did). I love the new team at Palmyra Pharmacy. Thank God for them!

My family were with Palmyra Pharmacy for at least 20 years and never once did I feel less than optimally cared for. Brad felt personal responsibility for his customers. My family has had serious health problems throughout the years and Brad always went that extra mile - even to delivering meds to our home in Cinn. himself at a time when we could not get out to get them. He always carried meds he knew his regulars would need; you seldom had to wait a day or two for your particular medication to be "in stock". I could never say enough about how well we were treated by the "old" owners of P.P. With the changing - of - hands comes a time of transition - only normal. However normal that may be, for us it just isn't the same. We now go to another corporate owned pharmacy much closer to home since we have found that one corporate pharmacy is much like any other. They're all just fine if you mostly take generic meds. however, if you require brand meds these days, you simply have to wait a couple of days for those meds no matter where you go anymore. Personally, I miss the Mom and Pop family-owned pharmacy.

I must say, I'm not sure what the other two reviewers were talking about. Compared to the previous owner, the new team at Palmyra Pharmacy is a breath of fresh air. I've talked to many of my other neighbors and they feel the same way. I've never had such personal service. The pharmacist there calls me by name as soon as I walk in the door, knows all my medications and, on more than one occasion, has caught and prevented some serious drug interactions, which my doctor missed! Mistakes made? NONE! That's more than I can say for the previous pharmacists, a husband and wife team who never even mentioned the word "interaction" in all those years and who both had the personality of wet socks. I love this town, but I know many people who live here who are never wrong (even when they are) and who absolutely HATE change, but here, I must disagree. Change was a good thing for Palmyra Pharmacy and I LOVE my new pharmacists, Tom and Russ, and the new team. When a brand new CVS opened in town, most of my neighbors and I were worried that Palmyra Pharmacy would close. Not so, they are doing better than ever and now carry a full line of items that make my shopping and my life more convenient. Three cheers to Palmyra Pharmacy! P.S. I don't think it's fair for a husband and wife (Mike O. and Rachel O.) to both comment on the same business since it skews the results in an unfair way.

In the corporate america we live in, it is harder and harder to find your classic small town store such as pharmacies. Palmyra pharmacy has campletely lost its regard for small town business, treating every customer like a stranger and not giving the attention and friendliness they used to be known for. Not often, buut we've encountered mistakes in pricing with regards to prescription medications. It is really a shame and we can still hope that the pahrmacy will go back to their old ways.

This used to be a great family owned pharmacy, friendly employees, great pharmacist........Until it was bought out by a corporation. Now, it's the same as all of the chain pharmacies....it's losted that "personal" hometown feeling.
