From Tony Hu, owner of Lao Sze Chuan, he brings you the next great restaurant in Chinese dinning Lao Beijing. Lao Beijing focuses on food and flavor from the region of Beijing. The DIY component of traditional hot pot is most appealing, and makes for a leisurely meal. Request a half-half pot to divide spicy from milk sauces for dunking paper-thin slices of steak and lamb, shrimps, bok choy, tofu and vermicelli noodles. Lao Beijing is known for their version of Peking Duck, Beijing Duck. Enjoy a business lunch or nice dinner in China Town. Make sure to mention Citysearch! Thank you see you at Lao Beijing!

Other finds include cumin-rubbed lamb skewers and cucumber salad that's dotted with chilis and peanuts.

Great noodle soups!

by linds26

I had a nice cozy lunch here.
Pros: Spring Rolls, noodle soups (you can customize the spicyness), service was great and they had great recommendations

Tony, the owner, is usually in the restaurant and will pass out his card o you and make sure everyone is happy. The have a huge menu, that can be overwhelming...just ask your server what they think if you are stuck between two choices. Great value for your buck! Good food.

Pros: the food and service

Cons: large selection, can be over whelming

Bad food, bad service

by kaixingua

I am from the northeast of China and I think the food in Lao beijing is really bad. The service is also bad. We made a reservation for 6 people but when we arrived there, they said we have to wait. I don't really know what reservation means in lao beijing. I think the owner is good at advertising, but not the food or the service.

Cons: bad food, bad service,
