Mon Ami Jewelry

I am writing a review cause I know how helpful they can be. Unlike some of the other posted reviews, I was not referred to Mon Ami. Instead, I randomly found them and was very pleased with there prices and service. However, feeling uneasy about making a large purchase with jewelers I'd never used before, I googled them:) And up popped all these reviews as well as their BBB A grade. Suffice it to say I ended up making my purchase at Mon Ami at a price well below what I was quoted elsewhere and I couldn't be happier. Def. check them out.

I bought my first diamond earrings there 4 years ago. I loved the quality, price and service. When I went back a year later, the owner still remember me and I walked out with a diamond necklace. Last week, I returned, not thinking they would have anything that I liked in my price range and they custom changed some some gemstone/diamond earrings for me which look fabulous. They also remembered me. I have had nothing but great luck Mon Ami and will continue go back.

After visiting numerous stores and figuring out the ideal diamond shape, quality and size for my girlfriend, I decided to search online. I was amazed to find the the prices online significantly cheaper than the stores I had visited. Even those who claimed to be "wholesalers" could not compete with the internet. Before pulling the trigger and buying somethign unseen onine, I decided to venture out one last time in downtown Chicago while on vacation. My girlfriend and i stumbled across Mon Ami Jewelry in downtown Chicago and it likely is the last jewelry store we will ever enter! To our surprise, they were able to beat prices online. And unlike shopping on the internet, we were able to see a wonderful selection and deal with a very friendly staff. Needless to say, we were quickly sold on Mon Ami. A week after leaving Chicago, I called with my credit card number and a week later i was engaged! Def. try them even if you are out of town!

After months of agonizing over when to propose, I finally decided that I had to do it on the 1 year anniversary of when we met. Only problem was, I decided the day before! After calling numerous friends to see where they had purchased rings, I went and visited each of these stores individually. Mon Ami was my last stop and unlike the other stores, they had a huge inventory of loose diamonds in stock. White it didn't hurt that they quoted me prices significantly cheaper than what I had seen elsewhere, what was most important to me is that I was able to walk out in 45 minutes with my chosen diamond on the perfect ring.

I was encouraged to try Mon Ami out when shopping for my fiance's engagement ring, and I am very glad that I did. In the end, my fiance says she has her dream ring and could not be more happy with it. Samir patiently walked me through all stages of education, selection, design of the ring and also with post sales support. I recieved an excellent value with Mon Ami and they will get my business in the future.

I was referred to Anand at Mon Ami when I was looking for an engagement ring for my now wife. Any guy who has gone through this process knows how hard this can be. But Anand took the time to help explain the ins and outs of what to look for in a ring, and I never felt pressured to buy. In the end, he did more than just help me find a ring that my wife would love -- he custom made a ring and matching wedding band for us that still get jaw dropping stares more than 2 years later! We've also taken advantage of free cleanings and inspections of the rings. Recently it was time for a birthday present and honestly I didn't consider going anywhere else except to Mon Ami -- which is a big deal considering it's a 50 minute drive from where we live! The bottom line is my wife is happy -- what else can you ask for?

After visiting numerous stores I felt like I was more confused than the day I started searching for an engagement ring. Then a friend referred Mon Ami. They were the only ones who took the time to help me really understand buying a diamond. They explained everything in basic terms and were extremely patient. I even finally learned to use the magnifying glass:) And on top of else, they were by far the cheapest! I got a diamond of higher quality and size than what I had seen elsewhere for significantly less. I strongly suggest checking out Mon Ami before purchasing a diamond or for that matter any jewelry.

One of the best things about Mon Ami Jewerly is their willingness to educate you on the diamonds / rings before you buy anything. Samir spent a lot of time with me making sure I understood the different products and most importantly making sure I felt good about the purchase I was making. They emphasis customer service and they've definitely stood behind that principle from the start to the finish. It is very comforting to know that I have bought a ring (which looks fabulous by the way) from a place where I do not have to hesitate to go back to for any future servicing needs.

Mon Ami Jewerly was a great place to buy an engagement ring. I highly recommend them!

Mon Ami Jewelry helped me custom design an engagement ring that knocked the socks off my fiance. Their knowledge is second to none, their service is outstanding, and most importantly they are a pleasure to deal with! It's hard to believe they can offer such great prices!!

I first purchased from Mon Ami Jewelry in 2005. Over the last four years they have helped me, often on notice, with inexpensive gifts, watches, and recently an engagement ring. While the person behind the counter has changed, one thing has remained constant. I have always left Mon Ami 100% satisfied. From an incredible selection to cant beat prices (sorry Mon Ami, I have looked elsewhere, but never ended up purchasing) to phenomenal customer service. Mon Ami can not be beat!

I live in New York and did plenty of browsing through the diamond district and feeling - make that knowing - that everyone was trying to take advantage of me I was referred to Mon Ami by a friend I work with. It was the best thing that could have happened to me. From the first I spoke with Anand, the owner, I could tell he was knowledgable and his primary interest was getting me what I wanted for a price I could afford. He came to New York to meet me and got me a truly gorgeous stone for a price I could not get even here in the diamond capital of America. When I got down on one knee and opened that box my fiance's jaw dropped and she couldn't have been happier.
To top it off, when we had the ring sized at another jeweler and that jeweler damaged the band around the diamond I called Anand. He flew half-way across the country and had the band completely fixed within days. I can't recommend Mon Ami enough.

In making the yet to date largest purchase I have ever made, I did extensive research and weighed many possible options. However, every interaction with Mon Ami, from my initial email correspondence to my visits, left me feeling as though they were the best option as a result of price, service and selection. And upon giving them a deposit, my faith in them was more than rewarded. As promised, there was constant interaction between Mon Ami and I, resulting in me actually having had a hand in designing my girlfriend... fiance's beautiful custom ring. All at a price that beat all other quotes I received, Thank you.

Unbelievable. Was referred to Mon Ami by a friend and could not be more appreciative. I Spent $3000 less than I budgeted and got a larger diamond of better quality than I thought possible. And Ive never been to Chicago! They made it very easy all over the phone.

My girlfriends and I went ring/jewelry shopping in chicago a couple months ago. We were in from wisconsin for the weekend and were amazed by the number of jewelry stores. However, we found a broad range in selection and price. And no one's prices and selection matched what we found at Mon Ami. The owner is this really cute Persian guy, Anand Sheth. Anand met with us personally and walked us through diamond shapes and qualities for over an hour even though we told him we were just gathering information. And while they were extremely busy, he was attentive and patient. I can promise you that he has earned our business. One girlfriend has already had her ring purchased there and there are a couple more currently going through the process.
I don't think the owner is always there so I would call and try to set an appointment with him, though his staff was also very helpful.

What really sold my friends is that he told us to shop around before calling him after the initial visit and was confident his prices would be cheaper. My friend's boyfriend did shop around and couldn't come near the prices offered by Mon Ami. Plus he was happy when he visited cause they even had a playstation set up for bored guys:)

From the moment I walked in, Anand and his staff were extremely helpful. As this was my first purchase of an engagement ring, I was a bit nervous. I brought in several different photos of what my girlfriend liked and disliked and we went from there. Anand was very knowledgeable, informative and took what I wanted to heart. Buying an engagement ring can be a very stressful experience! So I asked my friend who had just gotten engaged where to begin the process and he sent me to Anand at Mon Ami on Wabash. I was very pleased with their selection and the excellent customer service but did continue to shop around to better educate myself about diamonds, etc. However, after doing so it confirmed for me that Anand was the person that I wanted to do business with. My comfort level with Anand was what made me go back in the end. And it was also VERY reassuring to know that after shopping around that his prices were by far the best! Anand was very patient and the most important factor in our relationship was that my fiance was happy with the final product. So when we decided to make some adjustments to her ring Anand was more than willing to help us with them (not once, not twice but three times!!!). He was extremely patient and went the extra mile for us. This entire process was made to be less stressful thanks to Anand and Mon Ami. I highly recommend Mon Ami for any of your jewelry needs. It's nice to know that we now have a trusted jeweler that we can go to for many years to come.

My fiance and I considered at least 9 or 10 jewelers. While most were polite, very few had loose diamonds. And the few that did, were greatly overpriced. Found the selection and service to be first class at Mon Ami. Really appreciate everything they did for us. Have already send multiple friends who were all very happy.

I was interested in puchasing an engagement ring. I had checked out a few of the big retail stores in the mall. A friend of mine also told me to check out Mon Ami. It is located in the diamond district. The staff was nice - they even offered me a bottle of water while I browsed. The owner was very helpful and showed me what they had. He was so confident in their prices that he actually told me to go somewhere else and then check back with him after I did. I had never heard of a person actually telling me to go a competitor! Long story short, I kept looking around and actually found the ring I wanted on bluenile.com. I was about to purchase it but I called Mon Ami just to see what they charged for the particular diamond. They actually were cheaper than Blue Nile by 20%. I asked the owner if they could make the exact ring I had seen on Blue Nile. He asked me to bring the picture in and 2 weeks later I got the exact same ring and diamond for 20%. Pretty amazing. Even if you buy your diamond from somewhere else, I would recommend you call these guys just to see what they would charge. They seem to have very good prices.

i went there and it was a wonderful experience....i think the guy that wrote something negative about this place was just a plain cheap indian...rahul????? are you serious if you go to downtown....of course nothing going to be cheap...and it was your engagment ring mannnnnnnn i feel sorry for your wife!!!! but no this was a very nice place...they have everything you could possibly think off and the jewelry is so beautiful.....i would give it 5 stars.....

I was searching for an engagement ring and shopped around - but no place was better in regards to service, options and price. Upon my initial visit, I had no clue as to what I was looking for, but walked away with a much better understanding of diamonds. It was the only store where there was no attempt at a "hard sale" and they suggested I first shop around to compare prices. After doing so I was convinced that they were giving me an amazing deal. From what I understand the family has been wholesaling for 30+ years so they're able to provide better deals as opposed to other retailers. I would highly recommend Mon Ami Jewelry, not only for engagement rings but any jewelry at all!

I had been looking for an engagement ring for the past 3 months. They beat everybody's prices hands down and they were the only jeweler in downtown to give me a 30 day money back guarantee. Even though I knew I would use the guarantee it gave me peace of mind and sealed the deal. Go when the owner Anand is there. The employees were nice, but not as knowledgable as him.
