I have been here numerous times, and alwayw find helpful and fun staff working. I actually proposed to my wife here. We love it. For the level of service and quality of food the price is well worth it. Go and enjoy.

Cons: Parking, Expensive Menu (but fondue is normally expensive)

Gentlemen beware, this is not a first date type of place. With the nice setting, and the great ambiance, The Melting Pot is a wonderful romance selection for couples to enjoy dinner.

The Melting Pot Restaurant is a very romantic spot to take your girlfriend on a date. The candlelight sets the mood and you have your own private seating. It may be expensive but every penny I paid was well worth it.

A great date night spot!! Very romantic atmosphere, dim lighting, modern architecture. The fondu is amazing. Definitely recommend if you are a fondu lover. The only problem I had was that it was extremely over priced. A meal for two was a little over a hundred dollars... which isn't out of the ordinary for Chicago, but seemed a bit pricey. If you're willing to spend the money though, I highly recommend it!

Pros: beautiful restaurant

We went with the server's recommendations. The cheese was very mediocre, the broth-based meat and vegetable fondue was also mediocre and portions were small. The chocolate fondue was very good. The service was bad...we rarely saw our serve and were out of drinks for most of the evening.

I have tried all three fondue restaurants in Chicago, and have been constantly disappointed (so far, Geja's is the best value w/ the best tasting food). If anyone finds a great fondue restaurant, please let me know.

PROS: Atmosphere, chocolate fondue
CONS: Over-priced, overrated, small portions, inattentive server
