I think the friendliness of the employees is slipping. Too bad, it used to be very good! It would be convenient to resume shopping there regularly. Still hope.

I really enjoy shopping in IGA. I remember when we first moved here from a larger city, I was thinking that they would never be up to our standards. I was wrong. They have been a great store and a great community business. The owner has been very generous is my kids school activities as well.

The Deli is great, the store has lots of sale items and stocked well, friendly staff a good place to shop for Groceries.
I have noticed lately that the Deli Chicken Salad has way too much pickle relish, needs to be cut down to about half as much.

I never thought about it until I saw Micah's review and I thought why not, it's a rare occurrence when someone gets credit where credit is due.IGA is not Mahomets only grocery store but I think by far, it is her best. They always seem to have the items on sale that you are looking for and the sales are actually very good.The employees are always friendly and helpful and the management I have met are the same.Items that are on sale are easy to find and overall, all of the items are easy to find.The fried chicken at the deli is quite good if you can get it fresh. I have had the chicken about 10 times and have found it very good 8 out of the ten times. I would like to see them write a time on the chicken box indicating what time the chicken was cooked.
PROS: Friendly employees, great sales
CONS: When crowded, the aisles aren't wide enough.

This place is a great place to get your groceries. The prices are about average, but the service makes up for it. The staff is kind, and helpful. They have good sales if you sign up to receive their weekly coupon books. They actually have carryout boys, so you don't have to lug your groceries to your car. The bakery is wonderful and has everything from fresh doghnuts to fried chicken. The deli meat is good, and they have a nice selection of apparel for the local schools even outside of Mahomet.
