This restaurant came with high recommendations to us so when we went for a ride one Saturday, we headed up to Laurium for lunch. LOVED it! Even though it is an "Irish" restaurant, I had a taco salad with a homemade tortilla bowl. I thought that was rather funny but it was great!! The entire restaurant is decorated in old framed pictures of the Laurium area and old mining history. With all the brick work, it reminds me of an Irish pub. Once inside the building is separated into a bar on one side of the wall and a restaurant on the other side. Well rounded, we were there with children and yet at other tables there were more dressed up women as well. I think this restaurant is suited to all classes/types of dining (nice that the bar is separated though). We loved the friendly waitresses and loved our meals. They were very accomodating to our children as well (they have a kids menu). There are small dining rooms in the back as well that you can reserve for small parties. I have a friend who reserved one for a wedding anniversary party. Parking on street or in lot across the street. Not a busy area, but the restaurant (I've heard) gets busy at night so make reservations. Prices for lunch were reasonable but the dinner prices were quite a bit more.
