THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST BANK I HAVE EVER EVER EVER BANKED WITH.... MY HUSBAND AND I OWN A BUSINESS TOGETHER AND FOR PERSONAL REASON HE IS NOT ON MY ACCOUNT! WELL TO START OFF WITH IF YOU BANK WITH THEM YOU CAN FORGET ABOUT ANYONE EVER MAKING A DEPOSIT FOR YOU. LIKE I SAID WE ARE SALON OWNERS AND GET PERSONAL CHECKS ALL THE TIME. IF THEY ARE MADE OUT TO HIM WE BOTH (YEA BOTH) HAVE TO BE THERE SO HE CAN GIVE A THUMB PRINT AND A DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBER TO MAKE A DEPOSIT... THIS IS NOT EVEN WITH CASH BACK..... GET THIS ONE TOO.... WE ASK FOR $100 BILLS IN EXCHANGE FOR SOME $20 AND ONLY $600 DOLLARS WORTH THIS BANK WILL NOT EXCHANGE MONEY FOR MONEY!!! IT IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS &^%*^ I HAVE EVER DELT WITH IN MY LIFE.... THEY KNOW WHO I AM WHEN I GO THROUGH THEIR DRIVE THRU AND ASK EVERYTIME WHEN I NEED A DEPOSIT SLIP FOR VALLEY VEIW.. WHAT?!?!?! NO I NEED ONE FOR THE BANK ACCROSS THE STREET.. YES ITS FOR VALLEY VEIW EVERY SINGLE TIME... WHAT BANK WONT EXCHANGE 20'S FOR A 100 DOLLAR BILL... AND NEVER EVER MAKE A DEPOSIT FROM SOMEONE THAT IS NOT ON YOUR ACCOUNT!!!! WHAT IF I WAS SICK AND COULDNT MAKE IT TO THE BANK... GUESS YOU WOULD BE SCREWED AND NO MONEY COULD GET IN THERE!!!!!!!!! NOT AN EASY BANK TO GET ALONG WITH. I joined Valley View about a year ago after having been with one of the big name banks for ten years or more. I thought it might be a bank that was less impersonal. Wrong. If anything its moreso. they make their own contrary rules to live by, most of which I was not told when I joined or I would not have done so. FOR EXAMPLE, in order to change the password on your debit card you are forced to go in to the MAIN BRANCH which is no where near convenient for me. Most banks let you change either online or at the ATM or at least at a branch office where you joined. There is no budging on this and the attitude I got was that they are stubborn and set in their ways and its their way or the highway so to speak. After having my card compromised they did take care of it rather quickly and send me out a new card but the reason it was compromised was nothing to do with me personally it had happened to a huge number of people, some sort of security issue had been breached. Then about 6 months later I had fraudulent charges on my account and i asked to have my card shut down which they did. I assumed (STUPID ME) they would send me a new one but when I called a few days later they said I needed to COME IN TO THE OFFICE to sign some papers before I could get a new one and then it would take ten days to two weeks to get to me in the mail. Meanwhile my funds are tied up and I have no money while they investigate for ten days to two weeks. Did anyone seem to be concerned for me? NOPE, very cold response not helpful at all. Before I eventually made it to the branch office to sign the papers I called to see if there was some other method available and someone said i could request a new card by email so I did and then the next day got a cold, somewhat rude notice that, AS I HAD BEEN ADVISED BEFORE I HAD TO COME IN TO GET ONE. No apology for the inconvenience and what is for the different advice?
That sets the general tone of this bank and if I didn't have my money directly deposited there I would close it ASAP.
