The atmosphere of this rustic old mill is warm and inviting - but I feel as though there is a serious disconnect between the food and the surroundings. I was expecting a very different menu when we decided to try this restaurant and was surprised to find indian influence in almost every dish accompanied by some french cuisine. It seems as though they do not have a cohesive concept developed yet. My shrimp cocktail was perfectly cooked, but the cocktail sauce was so thick it did not even adhere to the shrimp. I decided to take a taste of the sweet potato gnocchi with a sauce of spinach, pancetta, olives and feta for dinner and was disturbed to find an overwhelming flavor of cumin that the dish would have been actually been wonderful without. Overall this menu was very limited and did not appeal to the masses, for the amount of money I spent I expect a spectacular meal which would bring me back time and again. I believe this restaurant needs to find it's identity and a menu that more appropriately suits the decorum that they have decided upon. Sometimes less is better, simple clean flavors can offer some of the best dishes!! Just a little food for thought.

I found the food to be very salty. We ordered off of the Tavern menu down stairs. We had a server who was less than up to par. For the price, I feel I need better service and food. She seemed to not know what was going on. I had a cosmo, which was made weak. It was also a chilly night and had to put my coat on,
They really should get their act together. They will not be around within a year. There wasn;t even anyone there and the service and food was just OK at best.

Bristol's newest waterfront restaurant located at Thames Street Landing. Contemporary American cuisine. Fine dining overlooking Bristol Harbor and Narragansett Bay in the fully restored 1818 DeWolf Building. If you are lucky enough to get an outdoor table - sunsets are fabulous . Many seafood choices on the menu along with other gourmet dishes sure to please. Desserts are terrific. Parking on site and also nearby.
