Before you pull the race card you should do some research ... the family that runs that place is very colorful themselves...it is foolish to say because you were not handed menus fast enough or someone didnt take your order fast enough that is was because of your color... shame on you ... !!!...

I went to this restaurant as a part of my daughter's PTA group. We were the only people of color and were never given a menu without asking first for one and were then not served at least 15-20 minutes after that because we had to ask someone to serve us. I thought several things: it's very busy - but the principal of the school who came in after us and happens to be white was served before we were (without having to ask for a menu or waiter/tress); just an oversight: (though the parents who were sitting all around us were actively being served - so probably not); racism - well we were the only family of color - I'm glad my daughter was too young to understand what was playing out in front of her - there is no other explanation for why we were not served. I felt like I was back in the early 50's and 60's in a backward southern town that refused service to especially Blacks. Bacoli should recognize that my dollars have the same buying power as my white comrades. Hope you will do better next time.

Want LOTS of EXCELLENT food at low prices? This is the place! The salad was very fresh and crisp. Be sure to get the stuffed mushrooms, bacon wrapped BBQ shrimp and calamari appetizers...amazing! The service was warm and attentive, and the chef was truly interested in hitting the palate with special requests. The place was bright and very clean. Our whole experience was absolutely wonderful! We'll to back to "Little Italy on the East side"!

New management took over this place about a year ago and everything from food quality to service has skyrocketed. My husband and I go there almost weekly, sometimes twice a week. The owners are very friendly and the wait staff is phenomenal. The tiramisu and rice pudding are homemade and the best I've ever had. The portions are large and the prices are pretty competitive. My husband's favorite is the Spaghetti Putanesca and mine is the Baked Ziti. Please try out this excellent place for wonderful Italian food.

I never knew the place was there until my kids did a fundraiser with them. Their Stromboli's are to die for and if you get the large you can feed 2-3 people! Outstanding food and decent prices.

My wife and I go to Bacoli's 2-4 times a month. We find the food very tasty and the portions are large. The hot bread is great. The part that I like best is the service. They are very attentive and when the wait staff notices your glass is empty they are right on it. Even if it is not their table. Sam is especially good. She's the best.My favorite is the baked ziti.

This restaraunt is nothing too spectacular. The food is pretty good, but they printed the recipe for thier famous chicken chesapeake, and I've found I can make it better myself. The atmosphere isn't bad, but I there are always people coming and going to pick up thier carry out orders, so it's sometimes pretty busy in there, not a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff sometimes look a little scruffy and you can usually hear the banter in the kitchen even out in the dining area. The food is good but eating in is usually a bad idea, you can just order the food and pick it up.

PROS: pretty good food
CONS: poor atmosphere
