ere is the real deal:

Roomful delerivies were stopped for Friday Dec 12. You may get deleveries later, or you may not. Roomful is asking that you call their new number at 1-888-

696-7378. What they don't tell you is that this new number just dumps you into their regular customer support call center. You will wait on hold, and then it

asks you to leave a message but you can't beacuse the mailbox is full. This is just their way of appearing to do something, but they don't care as they have

their money. Third, don't think for a second that you will get one cent back if you have an order. Whatever money they have of yours, go to the store select

something for the same price that is IN STOCK and go get it yourself at the Crafton wharehouse. At this point you are dealing with individuals that do not

care, are losing their jobs and will steal your money and still sleep at night. If you don't have a truck - beg borrow or rent one! Do not trust them to

deliver your order as their delivery company quit, do you want to trust them to get a new one?

If you thought that Roomful Express Customer Service was bad before, you should see it now. And for anyone considering buying from the liquidation sale, all

SALES ARE FINAL so if you get bad furniture, you are stuck with it.

Here is what you need to do to get action:
First, CALL SAM IN SALES at (412) 788-0181 and ask for a status update on your order. Leave a messgae for Sam if he is not in. Do not take no for an answer

or tell them why you are calling. Sam will tell you that is not his responsibility, do not believe him. You can call this number on Saturday and Sunday as

Sam works weekends.

Second, call the main corporate office number at 412-444-2300 during the week and dial the following extensions and leave amessage. Michael Kuhn, Owner 303,

Greg, VP Sales 304, Heather Blinkey Delivery Manager 239, Security 301, Leach 233, Wharehouse 390. Continuing to call and leave message after message is the best way to get their attention.

I am happy to report that I have reached an employer who helped me out with my problem!! His name is Rob Bucheit, and he helped me get a credit to my Roomful account for the entire price of the sofa and oversized chair. This was after I had recieved the new set of pillows and covers that were also in an awful state. They do have policies to follow, but with someone like Rob on your side, it will go smoothly~Thank you Rob.

ULTRA SHIELD..... a total and complete rip off!!!! When i bought my son's bed, i was told to get the protections just in case he jumps on it and it breaks I would be covered for life. Sure enough that happened and the bed broke, when i called to have it fixed i was told "that was not covered". I asked her what was covered and some Betty told me i had to go back and read my warranty to see what was covered and what was not. For the dining room table the guy said, if the table is scratched by a vacum cleaner or something I would be covered. My younger son scratched the table which something sharp, idk what. And good old Betty said no I was not covered! Some of the furniture is ok, but my advice, DON"T BUY THE S----- ULTRA SHIELD, it's a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year we spent thousand's of dollars at roomful express and the service was horrid the girl's behind the desk were so rude,I was ready to walk out but the thing's were for my daughter's first place. I felt the price's were ok but my daughter should have gotten a tv but they forgot to tell us about it then the lady behind the desk was so rude we just left.We also didn't get two pillow's that came with the couch. We were very unhappy with the service. Also they were talking about us to another lady she approched us when we left the store Not right they shouldn't have done that.

Wow, horrible customer service at Roomful from the salesperson to Michael Kuhn the President of the company no one cares.
Their mission statement "get the sales - screw the service.
Do not waste your hard earned money shop elsewhere!!!
I wish it was possible to not click on any stars because they do not even deserve 1.
Tell your friends and your family - stay away
Has anyone had any luck getting a refund on the Ultra shield scam - is it worth the hassle? Maybe later, at this point I am so exhausted from dealing them.

I worked as a salesperson at roomful express until July 2010. I was there for 1 year and 4 months. They MAKE us pressure customer's into buying the rip-off ULTRA SHIELD warranty. If we did not meet the sales goal or warranty goals for 3 months, they would fire you. The store's sales are starting to dwindle because everything is on BACKORDER! The sales people do NOT get paid until the furniture is in your home so backorder's made me mad as well. Overall: Do not shop at this store. Michael Kuhn is the owner and he is so out of touch with his company. Go to Levin's for a real company where the owner actually cares.

I purchased a bedroom suite from Roomful Express in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania in 2005. The sales representative convinced me to buy the wood protection warranty for the furniture. This representative stated that the warranty would cover the furniture if there was:The warranty seemed to encompass all possible damage, so I purchased it. ended up with a deep scratch on it. I called customer service and they put me in touch with Ultra Shield, who turned down my claim and told me that the deep scratch was not covered because I called customer service again a few months later because someone had left a glass on my dresser and it had left a ring, but for some reason my claim was denied.
In June of 2010, I the leg post split. I went to the store to explain what had happened because I had been calling Ultra Shield and nobody was returning my calls. The supervisor that I spoke with told me to lie and to tell them that I was in bed when this happened because they (Ultra Shield) always finds reasons as to why they will not cover the warranty. It seems that Roomful Express talked me into purchasing this warranty not for my benefit, but simply to receive commission.I spoke with Jennifer is the corporate manager?? assistant for Roomful Express for the corporate office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and she explained that Ultra Shield was right to deny my claim because if I could not explain them how this happened, neither could they. Jennifer also told me that she would call and find out why they would not cover my dresser because that should have been covered. This was two weeks ago as of August 13, 2010, and she has yet to call me back. It seems unscrupulous of Roomful Express to urge their customers to purchase warranties that are useless because they do not cover anything. This occurred around the same time that I purchased my living room furniture. If only I had known. Here??s what happened next.I purchased a roomful of furniture from Roomful Express in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania in January of 2010. The furniture was delivered in March after we had had a big snow storm in February. A week after the furniture was delivered, my sofa began to look worn and discolored. I called the store and told them about the sofa. They sent a tech out to assess it, and he advised me to replace the sofa. I called customer service and had the same model of sofa (Carmel Lilly) delivered by Ashley Furniture. Within a few days, the sofa began to look worn as well, so I called and reselected another sofa by Ashley Furniture. About a week and later, this sofa looked worn, so I called for someone to come back out to my home and take another look at it, and again, the tech informed me that I should replace it because he had been seeing this a lot. I went to the store in West Mifflin. The sales person (Bobbie) was very nice and helpful. I called customer service to let them know of my problem and that I had found another sofa that I liked, though this one somewhat more than the first one because of a different sale. Once again, I had to pay more for the sofa. When I called customer service, the person that I spoke with informed me that her boss told her this would be the last time I could reselect. I explained to her that I was insulted because the problems I was having were not my fault. She told me that she understood but that was what her boss told her.I went in the store about two weeks after the sofa deal, and while looking around, I realized that they were advertising a different sale from when I had purchased the Roomful. This sales promotion involved scratching off a card to get a percentage off your purchase. I noticed that after being in the store numerous times, a hutch I had also bought was $699, but for this sale, it was over $1,200. The sofa that I had reselected was also being sold at a higher price than when I had bought it previously. After that sale, I returned, and all of the prices were back to their previous prices (the hutch was back to $699; it was no longer $1,200). Now I am having problems with my tables that I also bought with the Roomful for my living room. The techs have been to my house before because the stain was beginning to chip. Now, I have to schedule an appointment for yet another tech to come to my home. Jennifer said that I could reselect the table, but it??s going to cost me even more money because they can never keep the prices the same depending on what sale they are having at the time. When do you say enough is enough?
I just spoke with Charlie, a representative at the corporate office, trying to get in touch with Jennifer. She had also told me that Ultra Shield is very difficult to deal with when I told her that the manager at Roomful Express West Mifflin told me to lie to them.

I purchased a cocktail table and two end tables at Roomful Express at The Pointe on May 31, 2010. My receipt says to pick up on June 7 as I live in Steubenville and had no problem with picking the furniture up. I called and the furniture was not in and was told it would be in on June 14. Again I called on June 14 and was told it wouldn't be in until July 11. I really doubt that Ashley Furniture is backed up that far in providing to the retailers and the most annoying detail is that all of the employees I talked with (at the warehouse and at the store) have an "I don't really care" attitude. I am a business owner and if I ran my business in this manner I wouldn't be in business long.

Last spring, my husband and I purchased a living room set from Roomful Express. The couch broke in the fall. They sent a Craftsman to fix the problem. The couch broke again a few months later. It was the same problem. Another craftsman came out to repair the couch and left with it not being fixed. He didn't even contact Roomful's cooperate offices to let them know that he was unable to fix it. I am also unable to see his reports. I had to call the Cooperate Office myself to let them know that is still broken. After 2 weeks of leaving message, and not having my call returned, I was finally given a credit to go pick out new couches. We went to the store and wasn't able to find anything that we want to buy and I don't want to purchase any more furniture from Roomful Express. After another week of leaving messages for supervisors (Smaragda, Jennifer, and Melinda) the only thing they were able to do it extend my store credit for 1 month and talk to the crafts man. They are not even guaranteeing that a craftsman will come out to look at our couch again. I do not to purchase any more furniture from Roomful. I either want my couch fixed or be refunded in full to that I can go to another store to purchase my furniture (which they tell me is not possible). I will never buy any more furniture from Roomful because of the lack of quality and the poor customer service.

I should also add that when I had the furniture delivered, I was 8 months pregnant and the delivery guys wanted to leave the furniture in my kitchen and I could ??slide? it (which was 2 huge leather reclining sofa??s) into the family room. They didn??t want to take their muddy shoes off. I told them to just leave their shoes on and I was stuck scrubbing the carpet.

If looking for furniture, please go somewhere else. Roomful Express may have inexpensive furniture, but it is definitely not well made furniture, their delivery guys are lazy, and their customer service is horrible.

Roomful Express puts on this face that they're a company who really cares about customer service and repeat business. Even if they do, you'd never know it by the salespeople who are the most unenthusiastic folks I've ever encountered. All they really seem to care about is making you purchase stupid protection plans on everything you buy.

I know somebody who used to work for them and they said the attitude is no better on the inside. Salespeople stab other salespeople in the back, furniture is rarely ever in stock, lots of items get dropped before layaways are paid off, and only the people who could afford to pay for the furniture straight up can get approved for financing. Those same people probably would rather shop at a higher-end store, so who's their real market?

If you visit the store on McKnight Rd, you'll either get a salesperson who obviously hates everything about their life, is nice but doesn't know anything, or the little Indian lady who will insult you and tell you the price of the furniture is nothing and you're stupid for thinking it's more than it should be. Great rapport...

F* it. I'd rather buy IKEA and have to replace stuff every few years and be left alone when shopping than deal with the annoyance of a regular furniture store and its morons.

Hindsight is 20/20 - so if you are reading this prior to a furniture purchase... you are ahead of the game. DO NOT BUY FROM ROOMFUL EXPRESS. One word - JUNK. I purchased a leather sofa ($2000 leather sofa) and less than a year later - the seams are opened and the frame (little more than brittle cardboard) is broken down. There is no 'customer service' or recourse through the store or citi financial.
Even if you must wait to save a little more money to purchase somewhere else - it will cost you MUCH less in the long run.
My advice: RUN AWAY FAST.

roomfull express is a joke no matter which store you go to and remember they own LEVINS also.

i went to roomful express to get a better more comfortable couch for my pregnant wife. we pick on out and paid for it the girl at the desk said i would have a deliverly date in about a week. 2 weeks went by so we called the store and was told that they forgot to order the couch when the sales lady told me there was one in stock. and that the order could take another 2weeks so i ask for my money back and after taking to 4 different people about getting a refund they told me it would take 7-10 bussiness days to get a check printed and then they have to mail it out. all they do is play games and play with your money. i will never send anyone ther to get furniture.

after one year of dealing with furniture being delivered that is wrong, warped or broken, we finally were happy. That didn't last long, i now have found that citi financial, the company Roomful Express uses, has lowered our credit limit by $2000! Our choices are, return some of the furniture, pay the $2000 out of pocket or get another loan through someone else. I am renting a Ryder truck this weekend and loading ALL of the furniture I have received from them. I am sending it all back. The furniture is not of good quality, the customer service is atrocious and citi financial is a joke. I will never buy anything from them ever again!

At least you got someone to wait on you. I went with my husband to look at livingroom furniture and walked around for 45 minutes without a salesperson approaching us. They were all sitting in the back of the store talking, it wasn't like they were busy. I will never go there again.

I always heard little stories about Roomful Express furniture but I never really paid much attention. Boy, I wish I had! I went to buy a new couch for a place I recently moved into. It being an old house with very narrow hallways, I wrote down all the dimensions and headed out to find a new couch for my new home. I started out purchasing a low back sofa from Roomful Express.
After waiting a week for delivery, they decided (without even getting it off the truck) it would not fit down my hallway. They left ?? no couch. I returned to the store a little annoyed and searched for a similar looking couch with different dimensions. Without much luck we ended up finding one in the clearance section, not because it was any cheaper but because it resembled the first choice but had a lower back with cushions your could tuck in, making it perfect to fit down the hall. Our salesman measured and assured us it wouldn??t be a problem fitting through our hallway. We had to pick the couch up ourselves since it was indeed a clearance item. Once returning home with the couch it of course did not fit. With a couch in the middle of my kitchen I call the store to speak with a manager. After explaining my situation of the couch that was assured to fit and arguing for 15 mins they told me I could bring the still wrapped in plastic couch back ?? but ??not today?.
The next few days it rained and we were not able to hull the couch back to the store safely.
In the meantime, I went one last time to the store to look for something else. We explained the situation to BOTH sales people helping us. We came to the conclusion a reclining sofa (although, not what I really wanted) would be the best and possibly only option, because we could take it apart in 3 separate pieces and bring them into the house separately. We found one we ??liked?. I purchased it ?? and was to deliver 3 days later. I arranged for them to pick up the couch that was still sitting in my kitchen (the weather hadn??t allowed us to take it back) at the same time they delivered my THIRD couch for a small fee. I took the afternoon off of work to have them deliver it. An inch of snow fell that day and they call from the customer service to let me know the truck would not be delivery today because of the weather. There was ONE INCH OF SNOW on the ground??? I asked when I would be rescheduled and she didn??t have anything for another WEEK. After explaining my situation to her, she has no sympathy and even starts to get smart, asking ??do you want it next week or not??. I schedule for a week later delivery, and walk around the couch in my kitchen for another week. Once my THIRD couch arrives ?? the drivers assured me this reclining sofa did NOT come apart and there was no way it was making it in all together. I made them take my second couch that was sitting in the middle of my kitchen and swore to never ever ever step foot in a Roomful Express again. I get a bill a month later for a couch. When calling customer service to ask what for they assure me I still have a couch in my possession. After going rounds with them at customer service, which might I add are EXTREMELY rude and inconsiderate we finally got to the bottom of the misunderstanding (on their part) and cleared my account. I did not have one of their couches ?? nor at this point did I want one! I think the customer service center could use a little lesson in customer service themselves. As for the inapt sales staff ?? I think you need to start listening to the customers needs instead of trying to make a quick sale.

The next week I went to Levin??s. Tahe sales man walked me through the entire showroom and flipped over every single sofa to show me if and where it came apart. I purchased a couch (similar to the first one I had my heart set on) and in 2 days it was delivered. They took it apart, brought it into the house, and had it put back together in 15mins. Easy as that. My 2+ months of agony at Roomful Express was solved in 3 days at Levin??s.
** If you live in the Pittsburgh area, I have purchased many things since the couch at Levin??s and have been extremely satisfied every time. Def worth it.

Avoid Roomful Express at all costs!!!!

The delivery guys were the worst!!!! They tracked tar on my brand new carpet after we told them 3 times to make sure they do not get the carpet dirty. They just did not care how they left our home!! On top of that the second piece of furniture was not the right item. I had them return everything and I would not sign anything. I am waiting to get reimbursed on my credit card. I am also waiting to hear from customer service about my carpet. I will keep you posted.

Everybody always told me to go to Roomful Express when I am looking to buy furniture because they have the best prices. I must disagree. They had a special running awhile back for $799 and it was the cheapest, most uncomfortable stuff and other than that everything costs about twice as much. I'm sorry, but I find the Value City is a much better place to shop for furniture. It's nice and at a better rate.
