Spent the day in queens for work and had Breakast , Lunch and Dinner here. every one in my goup raeved over how better POP diner was over the other diners we had been too. From the food to the service. Had some items on the menu that you dont find at your normal diner. Have been back a few times since and they always make us feel at home every time.

What a great feeling to come to New York on Vacation and find a local Diner, that isn't your average diner, this is an Diner with an upscale flare. I own serveral restaurants in So. Florida, so I nit pick and comment on everything. The food was exceptional, I was visiting for a week and I made it to the diner everyday atleast for a meal or a late night snack. My favorite dishes were, Thai grilled-chicken salad was the BOMB, crab cakes (delicioso), godfather burger (perfectly done) to the ultimate wrap unreal, seafood risotto was out of sight (my favorite dish) and the list goes on, so does the great menu with something for everyone, desserts WOW!!! carrot cake unbelievable and the cheesecake (with fresh whole strawberries). I have visited the City for years and I'm happy to say that I have found The BEST KEPT SECRET in Queens, I can't wait to go back, the service was also a refreshing treat and the management (Angel and Cindy) made it super. This is what dinning is all about great food, awesome service, super clean restaurant and great managers making sure you feel at home. Thank you "Pop Diner" for not letting the nit picker have anything to pick at, lol....

Pop diner is a great place to chill with friends. Great for late night hours for drinks and great food to pick on.

Also family friendly. My little brother loves the New England Clam Chowder and the Fried Calimary. That's the only thing he eats!

If you request the dining room for a large party, they will open up for you and they have 2 TVs which is great for any sporting games or tv shows.

This diner is great for any occasion. Family or friends. I would bring anyone, anytime and they can enjoy any types of food from regular American food to Spanish food to Asian food.

a friend of mine recommended pop diner to me a couple of weeks ago and since then i've been back five times already. i cant get enough of their land and sea paella. its to die for. actually everything that i have had there was excellent. for lunch try the ranchero sandwich.

There is nothing but great things to say about POP Diner. Attentive service is paid to every detail. The steak thai salad was incredible and the salmon salad was to out of this world!!!

From the moment you walk in you're treated like family. The food is delicious, diverse and done just the way you like it.If it weren't great we wouldn't dine here at 3-4 times a week. We especially love the brunch, wouldn't be the weekend without POP brunch! We love POP so much we have had several big parties in their funky party room(very Andy Warhol!) All-in-all a neighborhood treasure not to be missed.

Pop Diner is called a diner, but is everything but. The staff is excellent. They take good care of you without being all over you. They are friendly, personable, professional and provide better service and quality for your dollar than many higher end restaurants in the city. Moderately priced, but the food is top quality. Great ambiance, no drawbacks. Angel, Nick, Perdo, Cindy, Leo and the rest of the staff make it more than just a place to eat. Never had a meal there that I did not thoroughly enjoy. THE place to eat no matter what the occasion.

This restaurant is definitely between a 3 and 4 star establishment for me. I think it all depends on your service because ours was great. In terms of food, we ordered the steak, pork chops, chicken and the burger. We both had an excellent time at Pop Dinner and I think that had a lot to do with the service that we were given. I would definitely go back to this establishment.

It's been awhile since I've been to Pop Diner but I remember loving every minute of being there. Everything was delicious and the service was great. The atomosphere was great and the staff was great too. I highly recommend it. I can't remember if I had fish or chicken there. Maybe both. Who knows.

well, as a regular customer i ve tried a little bit of everything and been more than satisfied! its overwhelming!!
born in the 70s the atmosphere here feels very familiar,warm to my senses and memories.
the drinks are generous at a great price like the traditional pina colada and daquiries... to accompany them i usually order the tapas-like (but more filling) "pop munchie sampler" to share with a friend or the mucho nachos and chicken quesadillas. mmmmm!!! if i have dinner and order the salmon or shrimp, i feel like i m at a fancy restaurant as far as quality is concerned, extra fresh, but the portions are more to my measures, BIG! don't forget the angus steaks. so juicyyyyy. I ve only been there for breakfast once and ordered the delicious banana pancakes and fresh coffee. I forgot to mention the salads and specifically the thai salad with the soy peanut dressing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it...
the staff has become very familiar too. I ve been there so often...very friendly.
it is a MUST try place!!!

Pop Diner is one of the best diners i have been too regarding food, service, decora and warmth. Their customer service is excellent in many ways such as being friendly with you and being prompt with food. All types of food and drinks are excellent and i would recommend it to everyone. Try it once and you wont go anywhere else.

so i was out shopping wit my girl friend at the queens center mall and we were recomende to go eat at pop diner. well turns out the place looked like something out of the 70s which was cool...since i wasnt born at that time so didnt know how the 70s looked...the food was great. u know had the usalldiner food...but it also had some asian and latin foods. which surpries me. havent seen a diner wit those choices in food i happen to try the hakka noddels (however they spell it..lol) it was soooo good...way better than ordering chines food. and my girl went wit the penn ala vodka. Which she said was sooo much better than some italian places she been too. So if u want to try something new u should try this place out...p.s. the ac felt very good after walking with all those bags..lol

This is one of my fave places to eat at when i get out of work. The serivce is fast the waiters are nice. The managers are very nice and always ask us how their service was. They are always around. Not like other places where the manager is never seen. They also pay attention to wat we ask for. for example last week i asked why they didnt have cherry pies. with all the choices they have. they didnt have cherry pie!...i came in today and guess wat was fresh on the counter top..CHERRY PIE!!!! yup my request was made. i thought it was very nice of them. P.s. u should also try their breadpudding its soooo good. They only make it once in a while but when they do i know they sell out fast. so i highly recomend this place. im sure u will enjoy it.

i have gone to pop diner many times...and im never disappointed. The service is great they always have a smile on there face, they take time to get to know you. Sometimes they guess what i would like to eat. (so cool) Even if its busy they make sure someone is taking care of u...and food comes out fast and right on point ... great place to come with friends have great food after a long night of party or to continue the party wit there funny named drinks like the DEAD MAN WALKING!

This place was terrible:
a. the decor was very tacky, although it was suppose to mimic the 70s, so its forgivable
b. The service was terrible, the waiters often forget your orders or take forever to come
c. The people in the restaurant were drunk and rowdy (don't go into the bathroom on weekends)
d. The food was terrible, everything was bland. Although they had a lot of variety, ranging from American to Asian to Latino, it was all bland and terrible in their own unique way (Burger was flavorless while the hash was mushy and the soup was thin)

So all in all, unless your desperate or you're just terribly curious because of the blinding neon lights outside, don't come here.

This place is good as far as the food goes and the staff has always been great to us. The BEST part?? They deliver and have their full menu on their website which is awesome and totally rocks when you don't feel like cooking.

Pop Diner took over the old Sage Diner space. Sage had gone downhill, and was a sorry place to have a breakfast. The new owners tore it up, renovated into space age '60's orange and black psychedelia. Think if the Jetson's ate at a diner. They renovated the menu as well. All the diner staples are there - great eggs, waffles, pancakes, burgers, etc. But they've added a neighborhood spin - Asian style dishes, Latin dishes, and inventive specials. Great food, decent prices, wacky drinks. Everytime I go in they remember me, like an episode of "Cheers." Not your father's diner anymore!

I asked for a veggie mushroom wrap without cheese. The waiter then brought the wrap and it included cheese. He brought it back without the cheese and when I looked inside I realized there was chicken inside. He brought it back again with mostly no cheese but there was still one piece inside. When he brought the bill I gave my credit card and 20 minutes passed and he never came to pick it. At the time the diner was relatively empty and waiters were milling about talking with each other. I complained to the cashier although and she was kind enough to take my meal off the bill. The ambience was pretty good but I would have to say that this diner is not ready for prime time.

This is the best diner I have ever eaten in. The food is great, the workers are very friendly. The manager greats us when we come in and stops by the table to see if everything is ok. I HIGHLY recommend you try this diner. The way this diner is designed, makes you feel like your hip/ up to date with the new style. it is so modern unlike the other diners I've been too.....I Just LOVE IT......

I was recently in this diner for the first time and i have to tell you, i am now a life member. The atmosphere was warm, with a home-like feeling, and the service was second to none. My server was so thoughgtful, and invited me back again to see her. It was truly a wonderful evening out.

I happened to go to Pop diner haphazardly. I was travelling close by and saw this very unique 70s looking eatery. My wife and I decided to try the place out. As we gingerly walked in we were greeted by the host, who was quite well dressed. The inside of the diner was very well designed...there was a unique blend of orange and light blue colors. My wife and I ordered crabcakes and chicken springrolls for appetizers. and a seafood paella for diner. Whoa...what a plethora of food...did I mention it was delicious! Not to mention I found out they have a WiFi hotspot for your wireless laptop. Price was just right and service was excellent...and of course, with a smile. I will definitly come back...and not haphazardly.

Unbelievable! Thats all that needs to be said. This is not your avreage diner,
From the amazing dishes to the creamy cheese cake. Love the selections
of different cuisines, from the Asian, Latin, to just simple American,
the POP has it.
Service was promt & Ivette (the manager) was the best, this
is the place to be! If your looking for something different, this
is it. highly reccommemded.

This diner has the coolest atmosphere, even better food, great service, and did I say the best diner i EVER went to!!!! I loved that the menu choices were so different! I go there as much as I can.
If you go defintely try the little corn breads and the lo mein!! (It was better at POP than in a Chinese restaurant.) And let me not forget to mention that the portions are HUGE!

Although I order from here often due to lack of choices that deliver, the sit down service and pretty bad and 4/5 times we don't get our full order. It's just a diner, nothing more - don't let the new scenery fool you. We loved Sage and are pretty disappointed that it isn't here anymore.

Went here last saturday and was extremely surprised at how good the food is. they have a huge variety of dishes. But, I stuck with a classic hamburger with fries. Service was nice too.
