only bakery worth visiting in Riverdale. The staff is very polite and the products are delicious. Their coffee is the best and their danish pastries are soft and tasty even though they are on the larger side

I went to the new Palombo in Larchmont, NY. Lovely decor, but I did not like the cookies or ice cream, and neither did the 3 friends I went with. The real reason I won't return is that Mr. Palombo was in the shop when we visited, and he spoke to the young African-american man working at the counter in an abusive and demeaning manner. I took the shop business card in hopes that I could send him a letter expressing my dissapproval, but there seems to be no way to do this. Given the low quality of the food and the questionable ethics of the owner, I recomend going elsewhere.

Say waht you want but when you sit here on Arthur Avenue and see old Italians walk past you with many generations you alsmost feel the spirt of the Old Country. Its a great place to sit and think and feel Italian...
Never would have found this spot or tried it, if not for newnewyorker.com

I was intrigued by the negative comment about this place and decided to trust the Insider Expert's positive comment. I wasn't disappointed - the cake was not too sweet and was a sell-out at the small birthday party. Rebecca was professional and very helpful in giving us the choices and letting us make the decision.

Definitely we will go back to Palombo again!

The pastries are not that good, the customer service is horrible, and the owner Mr. Palombo is a crook. After my visit to Palombo's I decided to do a little research about this Mr. Palombo. His name is Paolo (Paul) Palombo, he was an ex-politician who was sent to jail for taking bribes and stealing public money. He was sentenced to a few years in jail however, he appealed and served community service and got out of it through his political connections. No wonder his pastry shops are so beautiful, he built them with our tax dollars! He is a thief, a dirty politician, not to mention he runs a string of lousy bakeries that he built with money stolen from the taxes that we pay!

What I like most about Palombo Bakery is that their carrot cake and a few other baked goods are wrapped in clear cellophane, that?s very hygienic and I wish more bakeries did the same. Their carrot cake is to die for and I always purchase three slices on my visits over there, their bread is fluffy and delicious. Don?t buy just one because you will kick yourself for it afterwards. The make sure to address their customers in a nice manner and their service is excellent.

On a snowy Thursday morning when I was in desperate need of a cannoli, I decided to call the local bakery (in riverdale) which happened to be Palombo's. As a life long bronxite, I am familiar with Palombo, as they have many locations throughout the Bronx. I was thrilled when I heard they carried cannoli, but extremely unsatisfied when I tasted it. If I wanted cream cheese on a hard pasrty shell, I would have gone to Key Food and saved $2.50. Next time I'll make the trip to Artuso's in Little Italy (everything there is amazing). Never again. Boooo! Hiss!
