For $15.00 you get a whole chicken (reasonably sized chicken) and two large sides. You get an option of tortillas or pita bread, love the pita bread! Metered parking seems to always be available on Milwaukee Ave. Delivery is also available.

Am I right? Am I right? I don't know, it carries a vague connotation of massive digestive failure. This restaurant's sign says "Chicken Run, Pollo Al Carbon" which kind of rhymes and also supports my idea that restaurant names should be way longer, so we'll let it slide.

ANYWAY. Yes, I gave this place 4 stars for one dish and one dish only: Fried sweet plantains with cinnamon butter. OMG. I don't know who came up with this, but it's delicious.

This place is rad if you're in the neighborhood, although I wouldn't make a special trip, necessarily. It's pretty standard chicken restaurant fare, but it's all reasonably priced and the service is super. Casual atmosphere, never seems to be crowded when I'm in there for dinner...all in all a good place for a low key, middle of the week dinner. They also have pretty delicious batidos--assorted shakes made of fruits we don't even grow in US and A.
