Ratings_icons Best place for No Chips!

I had a great experience at Cici nails! After having a horrible experience at Dynamic Hair on division for no chip (Chipped after 2 days and they made me pay again bc I wanted it fixed then but the lady who did my nails wasn't working until thurs!) I decided to try the service at Cici and the way they did my no chip was COMPLETELY different way then that hair salon spa boutique whatever its labeled did. It actually lasted me a whole month!!! No doubt I've found my favorite nail salon in Chicago. I highly recommend!

Pros: Lasting results

I went in to check out the Zoya manicure since reading from here then website. I'm glad that that I was able to get this done bc it's toxin free. Although didn't appreciate the vietnames talking and the lady that just seems to play the lottery each time I've been there it is definitely the cleanest nail shop I've been too and they all really know what they're doing. They are very knowledgable and proud of all their product. I will have to try the no chip manicure next time. I've seen this place swamped with people getting that specific manicure and I heard the gentlemen telling a customer they can make colors too. That's pretty neat.

Pros: Clean, Sterile Nail Shop

Cons: Vietnamese speaking

I tried da no chip manicure for the first time last year at a salon (will remain anonymous) in the area and was impressed with da concept of no chippin for 2 weeks but after the 5th day my "bubblebath" color was looking yellow. I almost didn't want to pay for the experience again but when i walked into Cici nails the gentleman gave me a clear explanation of how the product should feel and how to take care of it so it lasts longer then 3 weeks. I noticed their technique of applying the color was also different.

At the end of the manicure they give you this "care package" that includes a top coat and nail polish remover. So if you get bored of the color you can just remove with the special nail polish remover and top it with the top coat to give it the shiny look.

I found out if other nail shops want to offer this they actually teach the class and they're the midwest manufacture.rs. I think that says ALOT

They really seem to have the top of the line products here.

Other than that I would def recommmend this place. Very clean place and they really know their stuff.

Pros: Main distributors for a reason

Ratings_icons WOW THE NO CHIP Manicure

Mya

I recently discovered the no chip manicure from a friend. I was looking for a place that did it near my area. Come to find out after doing extensive research that this place had so many reviews and excellent write up on them. I had to try. This is my 3rd week with no single chip! The growth started bothering me so I took them off after buying the remover. I totally thought this was gonna be like acrylics. But with this special remover they just peeled off in less then 10 minutes!. I cannot believe I lived without this no chip manicure!. From what I see they are very gentle on the nails. I noticed also my nails have grown out longer and stronger! thank you CICI nails!!!

Pros: healthy alternative.

Cons: What are the drawbacks?

The no chip manicure is the best! I got one for curiosity reasons and it really does stay on your nails. 3 weeks later I finally got them removed and got a different color. The removal process was a breeze and the best part is they did not use acetone to remove it. The coolest part was that I painted over it with some essie polish so I could go out with some wicked and removed it the next day and the no chip was still there good as new. Hands down with there no chip system safe and a very friendly staff.

Pros: always specials and great service.

Cons: street parking

Anyways...I was down the street and really wanted to get my nails done before NYE. There was no wait and I settled into my chair. Nancy, who did my nails, was friendly and repeatedly asked how everything was. She encouraged me to keep coming back regularly for pedicures to keep my skin healthy. They offered me something to drink, and even directed me to a new OPI reddish color that they had just gotten in.

I saw that they had a "gel manicure" on their services board and I was told that they were going to be getting the supplies in for "no-chip" manicurers, which last longer and look really natural. I think I will go back for one of those next time.

Pros: very roomy, all speak english

Cons: slight parking inconvieniance

Ratings_icons Worst experience EVER!! Don't go!!

I would give this place negative stars if I could!

I went there to have a mani/pedi. The place was totally dead, only one other customer and myself yet they rushed to get me done. The manicure was done the same time as the pedicure and they talked amongst themselves in vietnamese the whole time. The "tech" doing my manicure was really bad - I was wincing in pain when she was pushing my cuticles back and then she clipped the side of my nail down and it still hurts today! Ouch!! Couldn't she just file it?!?! Oh, and did I mention that she chatted on the phone through most of it? Yeah. That's what I call quality customer service.

The coat of polish put on my toes was so thick and gooey that it got messed up even an hour later. When I went back to have it fixed (I was in the neighborhood) instead of taking it all off and starting over, they tried to smooth it over with nail polish remover and then just painted right over that. Needless to say the polish just bubbled so now I have to redo it myself.

Before I left another unfortunate customer came in wanting a pedicure and she was seated in the same chair I had and they hadn't even cleaned out the foot bath! It was just drained.

I will definately NOT be going back there. Save your money and go somewhere where they pay attention to the customer, care about you being there, clean their equipment between customers and don't injure you in the process!!
