I'll admit I've never been to the store because the service I received on the phone was so awful. I called to ask about their slection of Erica Koesler blushers; I had seen several online that I liked and the website said I Do I Do carried them. I originally intended to wear my hair down at my wedding without a viel, but after a dry run with my hair stylist changed my mind. Thus, I was rushing to find a viel about three weeks before my wedding. I'd called a number of stores that told me that their in-store selection was limited and they'd have to order what I wanted, and I didn't have time for that. So, my first question when i called I Do I Do was whether they carried a large selection of Erica Koesler items in stock or special ordered them. I was immediately made fun of; it was explained to me that no store carried everything from a designer's line and that of course they carried things in the store, hadn't I ever shopped before - that is how stores work. All of this was said in an extremely sarcastic voice. Needless to say I told the woman that she clearly did not want my business, I was sorry to have bothered her, and I'd go elsewhere for my needs. Her response - "fine." I honestly cannot remember the last time anyone was this rude to me; the odd thing, I was really excited and happy when I called to find a store so close to my house that carried the brand I was interested in. I'm now driving out to the suburbs to get what I need rather than deal with the people here.

I love this store. I found it after I had planned most of my wedding, so only bought my wedding jewelry here. I loved their selection and customer service. It is a small store and parking can be difficult right on the street, but it is packed full of stuff. They have accessories to invitations to favors, etc... Some items are unique and I absolutely recommend checking this place out. I would give it one more star if it were larger and had an even bigger selection.

This is a great store. They have everything and I mean everything. don't be overwhelmed by how stuffed the store is. Navy blue is one of my wedding colors and despite searching the web for a navy blue solid guest book, I was only able to find silver and navy. I Do I Do had a navy book! My invitations - gorgeous and not very many stores carry this brand - this is the only store in Chicago that carries the brand. I had an idea for invitations but when I felt the weight of the paper, I did not like them because they were too cheap. The owner was able to recommend the brand I bought - she knows her products well. Be prepared to be in the store for a long time.

After making half a dozen calls to wedding accessories shops I thought I fount a great match. What I found was a case of split personality! Nice and helpful on the phone, looming, pushy, and suspicious in person. What I was told I'd find and what I wasn't allowed to look at or touch were two different things. After the annoying owner woman tried to force feed me (what she said I wanted - but didn't) her scary old guy sidekick just kept watching over my shoulder, I decided it was a mistake coming here, to top it off, when I left I had a $25 parking ticket for a meeter that wasn't working! Save yourself the time by NOT visiting this place.

Pros: eclectic selection, some unusuall finds, vibrators

Cons: weird owner who tries to force feed you but dosen't let you choose

If I could give 0 stars i would. I ordered a garter online, but then my mom found her old garter, so I attempted to return it. According to the website you CAN return non-personalized items, and you will recieve a refund w/in 5 weeks. After waiting nearly 2 months without hearing ANYTHING, I finally called the shop. They told me 1) there is no refund (their website lies), however 2) a "store credit" was sent to me... I don't want a store credit, but even if i did, I didn't get one (again, they, lie!). They said they'd contact me again, but so far I've heard nothing (that was over 2 business days ago) (yet another lie!).

On another occasion, I also went into the store to attempt to find a head-piece. The woman wouldn't let me touch any of them or try them on... and when I did find one I thought I might like, I couldn't pick it up that day and asked if she could hold it for 24 hours (a VERY normal thing to ask for), and she said no.

These people are absolutely ridiculous, rude, and horrible to deal with. They might have a great selection, but seriously I wouldn't go there unless it were a dire emergency (like you dropped your headpiece down the gutter on the way to your wedding and needed to get a new one same day).

I live in the neighborhood and was recommended to I Do I Do, by a friend who also lives in the neighborhood. She bought a lot of things from this store for her wedding, but warned me about the strange service, etc.

According to one of the nearby business owners, the owner of I Do I Do (the husband) was robbed while leaving the store one night and beaten to the point he suffered brain damage. His wife manages the store. I think that is also why they have the doorbell.

I have not actually been to I Do I Do yet, but I do plan to go one of these days. If the story about the owner is true, it's really pretty sad. I would think the wife would at least be friendly with customers, but maybe they've just been through too much.

I visited this place last week. Immediately this 'big-boned,' tall woman looms overhead and without really looking at me in the eyes (weird!) proceeds to "help" me. The strange old man everyone writes about is in the back the whole time looking at us. So, she asks me what I'm looking for and maybe my description isn't good enough because she impatiently shows me three things. I don't have time to browse because she doesn't leave my side for a moment and stands really uncomfortable there and it makes me uncomfortable. A couple of times through the exchange, which feels like pulling teeth, she says something in a rude way. Throughout she is just the type of person who makes one feel rushed--you can cut the tension she brings to her store with a knife. When asked about a discount or returns" Well, look at my sign, these are my prices!" She is obviously socially maladjusted and I don't feel sorry for people who don't take advantage of therapy. Maybe I would have had better luck with the old man! Anyhow, go to the Left Bank if you really need something nice or if you can put up with these people--by all means have fun! :) This is the weirdest and rudest store owner I've come across in a long time.

If you are soon to be a bride or know someone who is, I Do! I Do! Wedding Accessories is a refreshing change from most wedding stores. This quaint double storefront in the Ravenswood neighborhood is a one-stop accessory and stationery shop offering every bridal need minus the dress and shoes. First, the selection cannot be matched. The shop is stuffed to capacity and could easily be four storefronts the way traditional stores space things out. We thought it made for a really different and exciting atmosphere. Second, the prices are terrific. While there, I witnessed a bride having a complete meltdown that she had paid $150 more for her bracelet at another Chicago store. If you??ve shopped at bit, you??ll know that everything in the store is reasonably priced--just as you??d hoped! Planning a wedding can be the most stressful time of your life. I Do! I Do! realizes this and makes the whole process easier with cheerful customer service. The staff is excited to help but not pushy. The owner was a wedding photographer for years and her knack for accessorizing comes from seeing thousands of weddings. Brides will have no trouble finding unique styles to finish their look. I love my Jennifer Leigh veil and my Christina Garcia convertible haircomb. (I now wear it as a necklace!) Remember to bring a photo of your dress or even the dress itself. I also had my invitations, menus and favors custom designed (without paying custom prices). Pick up your handbag, guest book and unity candle and you will be good to go.

Upon entering this store, I was immediately followed by an older man who acted as though he was stocking shelves and fixing the merchandise but was really there to watch me like a hawk. The store is very small and merchandise is packed into a closet size space making it quite obvious that I was being watched. Seeing as Ive never stolen a thing in my life, I was obviously offended but I can appreciate that they may have had problems in the past. I then decided to pick up a tiara that was in the clearance items to take a closer look and I was instantly scolded by the man who followed me. He said in a harsh voice that "the tiaras are only to be handled by the salesperson and she'll be with you when she's done with the other customer" I have never been reprimanded like that in my life. I put down the tiara and walked out of the store and the older man followed me to the door and said "thats fine" . No actually, it is not fine. l would not recommend this place to anyone. The mechandise is so overly priced that it is untouchable. Ive seen the same selection of merchandise at many other places that is less expensive while you can enjoy the benefits of a comfortable atmosphere and good customer service. Brides beware!!!

I, too, was wary of this store based on the reviews. I went anyway - and wish I hadn't. I picked up a pair of earrings to examine more closely and was told "please don't touch anything, we are not a browsing boutique. just put it down". Sorry, my bad. Then, the owner began "helping" me. I described what I was looking for. She presented a few items, none of which really were my style. Which is fine, I don't expect to like everything. However, the owner repeatedly (maybe 20 times) said that I wasn't giving her anything to go on and she "just can't help me". I was chastised repatedly because I didn't know the difference between certain materials and their construction. I have never, ever been treated so poorly. I got so frustrated I threw up my hands and told the owner, you know, you are right, you can't help me. And walked out. If I could give this store a zero star rating, I would.

I went to I do! I do! for wedding accessories for my recent wedding. The store offers a large variety of hair pieces and accessories however it is very overpriced. The owner (and her husband) are rude and very odd, but if you're willing to accept it, she'll help you find what you need. They only allow 14 days for returns and there are MANY things that you cannot return so BEWARE. So ask a lot of questions and be prepared for their lack of customer service...you may also want to avoid weekends so they're less busy.

I Do I Do not only provided us with many unique items for my daughter?s special day; it provided us with a wonderful experience. We had so much fun looking in each small nook and corner to find beautiful wedding items of all kinds. The owner, Sherry, was extremely helpful as she offered advice and great ideas about the wedding day. The personalized service was wonderful, and we found her delightful. After the wedding, I know this will be one of the days that will bring back memories of laughter and fun!! This is the perfect place to find something special.

I went to the I Do I Do store with high expectations. What I found, was both good and bad. First of all, it is not the store's fault, but there was no parking! We had to circle around for a long time before we could find a spot. When we finally did get to go to the store (ringing the doorbell to get in was a little weird), we did find a lot of great stuff. Be prepared though...you have to really be in the mood to search, because everything is thrown together, and really crowded with items. And, as a lot of the reviews stated, there is a man that follows you around and watches you closely. He is a nice man, that has good intentions, but he does stay very close by. There is a woman who owns the store who is there as well, but she is not as warm. To make it short, the store is worth going to for its unique things, but the atmosphere and customer service is less than desirable.

so that I don't have to visit this store again. Admittedly, many nice things, one of the best selections in the city. But, forget trying to browse on your own or touch anything in this overly cramped, dark, cluttered store. I only got to see things I specifically described, until it was time to upsell me on all the little extras I had no interest in. I decided to grin and bear it and get out of there as quick as possible. Also, avoid the man who is described perfectly below. He should not be customer facing. A less than ideal shopping experience all around.

I had heard a lot of great things about this store, but was so unpleasantly surprised when I actually checked it out. My mom and I had to ring the doorbell to get in and then, like the other reviewer, were followed around the store by an old man in a very creepy manner while we browsed the various accessories. With all the attitude we received, you'd think we were shopping in a high end boutique, which was far from the case. Lots of selection, but it looked like a too-small warehouse. Their merchandise was stacked in piles on the floor and crammed into shelves and on walls and it was difficult to move around. Anything we touched, we were reprimanded to put it down. They did have some cute stuff, but pretty much everything they had, I was able to find online instead.

So, I'm getting married! And I want to look for accesories to buy. I want something close and just walkable. I see this place called "I do I do" around the corner and thought maybe I'll stop by. I walk to open the door its locked. You have to ring the door bell!! The nice man opens the door and asks what can he help me with. I say I'm just looking around. So I look. And he's looking with me!!! Yes! Every where I went he was right behind me.. on side of me.. in front of me. How could I possible shop for anything if he's constantly watching me! I picked up a few things but set it down because I couldn't concentrated with the man watching my every move. Lots of nice things...but too much pressure with the man watching me. Sorry!

I was overwhelmed during the last few months before the wedding, as most women are. I walked into I Do I Do and Sherry helped me so much, made me feel so at ease, listened to my needs and dreams, got to know me as a real person, and we found so much there! We found the perfect tiara there, absolutely gorgeous, and then she helped me design my veil, which they had specially made to perfection. It is a shop just filled with so many little things that you need. It's like walking into a treasure chest of romance and delight! You can't go wrong with this shop!

Pros: good prices, easy parking on Damen, so friendly!!!

Being the perfectionist and serious shopper that I am, my expectations are high. I'm very impressed with I Do! I Do! The selection is unique, not ordinary and the customer service is superb, of which I look for both in a shop. I found everything from gifts for my brides to pretties for me and I'm a perfectionist to please. I recommend every bride-to-be to shop this wonderful store.

My twin sister gives new meaning to the word picky. In shopping for her headpiece and assorted accessories, there is not a bridal store ANYWHERE in Chicago, we hadn't been to. Nothing pleased her and she certainly didn't want to settle for just anything for her own wedding. She was so nervous and upset and, meanwhile, time was marching on. As we were on our way to "I Do! I Do!" on North Damen, I prayed so hard for a miracle for this picky bride. And sure enough, that's exactly what happened. "I Do! I Do!" had everything we needed. The choices were extensive, elegant, different and so beautiful that even my very, very picky sister was not just pleased but thrilled.

I had looked all around for ideas, beautiful things and assistance and finally found it at I DO I DO. The shop offers such fun stuff, beautiful head pieces, cards, stationary and cool gifts for bridesmaids and groomsmen. In one day I had so much marked of my "to do/get" list I was delighted and very relieved.
