I just had my first session with Michelle, and it was such a wonderful experience. She was incredibly warm and personable and took the time to answer all of my questions. The needles didn't hurt at all, it was nothing like getting a shot. The treatment was so relaxing and I haven't had any headaches or back pain since. I definitely plan to go back and recommend her highly!

I started seeing Christine at Shen Shen a few months ago for treatment and to improve my overall health. I now tell everyone they should see her. The space is quiet, clean and very comfortable. The staff is always nice, very knowledgeable and accomodating. The prices are particularly affordable for the level of service you receive. I highly recommend Christine for acupuncture. She loves her job and really cares for her patients. She listens and makes sure she knows everything she can to find the right treatment for your needs. I have seen her specifically for allergies and fertility issues. I have experienced tangible, positive results for both issues that I contribute to acupuncture and her guidance. They have so many great treatments available there, beyond just acupuncture... You will not regret checking them out. I wasn't sure, but now I am so happy I went. I never knew how much I would look forward to getting needles stuck in me once a week!

I just received one of the best massages from Jen. Let's just say that I've been around the block a time or two, for massages that is and Jen was AMAZING! I've been in the spa industry as an esthetician for almost seven years. I'm extremely particular and a harsh critic, I couldn't get in to see my usual therapist and it was meant to be that I came across Shen Shen and now feel blessed to have discovered a haven and a woman with a real healing touch. Jen used several different massage methods and I feel like a new person!

Pros: Affordable, convenient location, plenty of meters available, staff is sweet and the facilities were very clean

Christine performed a cosmetic acupuncture series on me with tremendous results. Within the first couple of treatments I immediately noticed a genuine glow in my skin. Even my sun spots faded a bit. As the series progressed, my fine lines and wrinkles were diffused. It was like botox without the frozen face effect. Friends who have know me for years want to know what sort of "work" I've had done and are now signing up for the cosmetic acupuncture series themselves. Christine is very good at what she does, and her treatments left me not only looking refreshed but feeling refreshed as well. I highly recommend Christine AND the cosmetic acupuncture series. This will continue to be my birthday present to myself from this year forward.

My back was killing me and went in for acupuncture. The staff made me feel very comfortable, which wasn't easy given I had never tried acupuncture before. The treatment really helped and I highly recommend Shen Shen to anyone considering acupuncture.

The atmosphere is great, the employees are knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I would strongly recommend Shen Shen to anyone interested in massage, acupuncture, or herbs. The staff is always friendly and willing to answer any questions you may have about the treatments. Perfect place to go for someone interested in getting acupuncture for the first time!

I am being treated with herbs and acupuncture by Rachel and she is wonderful! Within two weeks of starting the herbs that Rachel perscribed my symptoms started to diminish. Also, I am not a fan of needles but, Rachel walked me through the entire acupuncture proceedure - explained everything she was doing and why and made sure I was very comfortable. Everyone I have been in contact with at Shen Shen (receptionists, the owner, Rachel, Bob) are very nurturing and seem genuinley concerned about my health/wellbeing. I have already and will continue to recommend Shen Shen to anyone intereted in acupuncture, herbal treatments and/or massage.

I have been to Shen Shen--a serene world on busy Lincoln Ave.--for treatments with Reiki Master Mickey Parent. When I'm under stress, my brain seems to echo with chatter, as a hundred different anxieties clamor for my attention. I have found that a Reiki treatment with Mickey quiets this chatter and allows me to reach a state of relaxation and serenity that lingers for a day or more. Often this is enough time for me to regroup and begin to confidently take care of the very obligations that caused the anxiety in the first place. I deeply trust Mickey's skill and integrity; her warm and assured touch helps me find a calm center within myself. When I step back onto Lincoln Avenue, I feel ready to face the stresses of city life!

I came to Shen Shen for a Reiki treatment with Mickey Parent to help relieve the stress and stiffness I was feeling. The treatment was done on a massage table in one of the quiet, private rooms. I wore loose, comfortable clothing while Mickey did the treatment. Soothing music was playing in the background. I felt completely relaxed and revitalized when she was done. I found it more relaxing than a convential massage.

Pros: The treatment itself, lovely setting, pleasant staff, very accomodating

I never thought that I would be able to stop smoking, but a friend of mine told me that acupuncture helped her quit. I decided to give it a try, and made an appointment at Shen Shen. I was definitely skeptical, but all of the people there were so honest and encouraging that I decided to stick with it. I had a total of five sessions, and thankfully was able to kick the habit. Along with helping to ease my cravings, I have noticed numerous additional health benefits. My heartburn has improved dramatically, and my shoulder tension is gone. I have already referred my acupuncturist to three of my friends. Definitely check this place out; I am sure you will have a positive experience.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Jia and everyone else at Shen Shen. If you are suffering with any kind of health issue, and are considering acupuncture, I strongly encourage you to give it a try. This is the place to go, it was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I have never felt better. Just walking into Shen Shen makes me feel great; the energy is amazing. I have never come across so many warm and caring individuals in one place before.

I have been suffering with chronic outer knee pain for eyars. After seeing several physical therapists and orthopedic specialists, I decided to try accupuncture. I'm so glad that I did! Even though I was a bit skeptical, Rachel went through a thorough intake of my problem. She did a number of points on my knees, and then also did points to help with digestion, complexion, and overall energy wellness. It's been about 7 weeks now, and I have never felt better! The knee pain is all but gone, and I feel more relaxed. The herbal formulas she recommended have also been helpful. You really need to do consecutive sessions for a while to get the full benefit, but I'm telling you that it's worth it!

I searched for a long time to find a massage therapist. I found exactly what I was looking for at Shen Shen. I have been managing health related issues due to stress. One way I have found to help manage my health is to keep my body balanced through massage therapy and herbal teas. At Shen Shen I finally found a therapist, Bob, who I connect with and who works with me towards my health and wellness. He has an amazing awareness of picking up on the inbalances in my body and where I am holding my tensions, often times by just looking at the way I am standing! The staff is personable, professional, and knowledgable, but what sold me was how they are the most grounded people I have ever met. I have never found these qualities in regular spas or massage therapists. I quickly became a regular client and highly recommend Shen Shen to anyone.

This is a great litte sanctuary. The people are so nice! I stumbled upon it one day looking for an emergency massage and discovered the heaven that is a TuiNa massage. I liked it so much that I've been trusting them w/ acupuncture and feeling great!

For weeks I have had trouble sleeping and have not been able to exercise due to the terrible pain in my lower back. I received three acupuncture sessions, and two massages at Shen Shen, and I feel amazing. I never anticipated getting this kind of relief so quickly. Give it a try.

I have been a regular client for months now and I'm thrilled with the results and the staff! I've had chornic pain that my doctors have not been able to help with beyond medication but the amazing people at Shen Shen have truly improved my health condition. And the biggest, best plus-all of the treatments and the environment is so relaxing, you'll want to go back every week like I do.

I have had four acupuncture sessions for backpain at Shen Shen, and I am amazed at the results! My practitioner, Christine, has been so helpful. She takes the time to ask lots of questions and really find out how I am feeling overall before treating the ailment. The setting is clean and very peaceful, which I really appreciate. I was a little nervous about going for acupuncture before visiting Shen Shen (this is my first time), but I now swear by it and have told many of my friends and co-workers about it. Highly recommended for quality, environment and effectiveness!!!

For a few months, Christine has been treating me for back pain that I have suffered with for years. I've tried everything, but the pain has always come back. However, through Christine's careful listening & various techniques (accupucture, cupping & massage), I am virtually pain free. Sounds too good to be true & I doubted that accupucture would help me, but I am absolutely amazed at the results. Christine always takes time at the beginning of each session to ask about your general well being & you how you are feeling. She then tailors her treatment to suit whatever issues you are dealing with, such as back pain, sleep issues, low energy, etc. I am so happy to have found this place - extremely effective treatment by very caring, professional people. Also, the staff is really helpful & makes you feel very comfortable. Definitely give it a try!

As a new customer to this facility I am impressed about the professionalism of the young staff. I have been i other place that offer similar treatments but She Shen by far surpasses them.
I have received several treatments so far and they have been working for me. I also appreciate the responsiveness of the practitioners and explanations of the treatments on HOW and WHERE are improving your body.
I love the calmness that is present once you walk in the store people like me that have a hectic professional life finding an oasis in the city like this is just a luxury.

Try Infrared Sauna. It is absolute best alternative to exercise and massage.
We went together with my wife and were immediately hooked after the very first visit.
We have been going there regularly now, about once a week.
And, after 7 visits, we don't want to quit or take a break. We love it. It is rather unique experience.
After the session the mood goes way up, I feel very relaxed, content and serene. Breathing becomes much more pleasant. Muscle aches decrease and all joints move much easier. Energy goes up and stays up for about 3 days. Night sleep gets deeper. I don't have excess body weight but I am sure that Infrared Sauna helps here as well.
