To all of u who think that dr j is a good doctor...please review your statements!! She does not care about anyone but herself! She talks bad about ALL of her patients behind their backs. She is not a nice person. I used to work for and ill tell u what...best thing I ever did was quit!! Sounds like it has gotten worse there. By the way..when she "closes" the office, she is probably shopping!! Did it allll the time!! And never pays employees for time SHE takes off!!Should be on a Worst Places in the World list! I cant even coint how many times she screamed at patients, telling them how she is better then them, and how they are trash and losers. So sad to treat people like that. So if u can people.. Please go somewhere else for your medical needs. That is a final warning!

I would never recommend anyone to see this so called doctor. I use to work for this thing. All I can say is she is crazy! she is PSYCHO!!! Please take the time to drive to a better place for great care. I worked in the medical field for over 10 years and she is by far the worst doctor I ever worked for. She not only treats her employees like crap but also her patients.. Oh and she'll rob you blind!!! Run far away! Please take it from somebody who worked in the inside.

Please don't throw stones, Dr. J is the best Dr. that I have ever been to. I have worked in the medical field for many years, and usually when there is a complaint it is due to the paitent not getting their "pain meds" or are not up to date on their deductiable and just dont want to pay their bill. Dr. Johnson is one of the most compasionate Dr's out there and she is only human, with some hard problems in her life that I would'nt wish on anybody so give her a break, she is the BEST!!!

My sister went to see Dr Joanne Johnson a few months ago for anxiety and depression. She said she had just separated from her husband and had been staying in bed all day. Dr Johnson told her she was too pretty for that and prescribed her xanax, prozac, and adderol! adderol is for adhd which she clearly did not have. I told her this is not safe for her to mix these especially with such high dosages for she only weighs 105 lbs. My sister went back and Dr Johnson said oh my gosh you're not supposed to be taking all that, and my sister said, you're the one that prescribed them! she seemed to have no recollection of this! she acts like she's on drugs herself. A month later my sister went back for the refill for the anti depressant and the office was closed with no sign, during office hours. She's called fire the last two weeks and no answer. Now theres a voice mail that says, if you need a refill leave the medication and your credit card information and there will be $100 fee to have it called in! not only does this sound shady but my sisters credit card was always charged different amounts when she was seen for the same thing. Ranging from $80-$160. This Dr needs to be investigated! Please no one else fall into her scam.

I went to the Urgent Care and was seen by Dr. J Johnson. The only other staff she had working that night was the office cleaning person. I arrived at approx. 8:20pm, there was one person in the waiting room ahead of me but it took until 11:30 for the Dr. to finish seeing me. Dr. J is very disorganized and scattered. She was bouncing all over the place like a child with ADD or ADHD. Her thinking was very disorganized and all she could talk about were all of her unhappy patients, people that were sueing her and others that were filing complaints. I should have listened to my gut and left before she could touch me. She put a suture in my cut finger, something I did not realize she should NOT have done because I had cut it 2 days prior. After talking to the trauma surgeons where I work I learned that the standard of care is to NEVER suture something after 24 hours. She gave me an anitbiotic and told me to start taking it IF my finger got infected. Of course it did, because you never suture something after 24 hours. And boy did that hurt. She asked me how much my co-pay was and I told her $10 ( I have 2 insurances, BB/BS and Health Plus). She had me sign the slip for the credit card payment of $10. After a couple of days I noticed she billed my credit card for over $430. Not once, but TWICE! My husband has been trying to call her office but the phone has been disconnected. I am reporting her to the board. I am sure she can be nice, but the point is she is not consistent, she is nice sometimes, mean sometimes, and very scattered most of the time. I am a RN/BSN and I truly beleive she should not be practicing at this point in time. She is a danger to her patients. Anyone who reads this and still goes to her is taking their lives in their own hands, you can't say you weren't warned. When someone can't keep office help there is usually a good reason why.

I am so disapointed in the Dr. I have went to her since she started the urgent care in Fenton. She used to be amazing and I never had a problem...Until 2 months ago we took are 17 month old in for an ear infection. We gave all are insurance info she stated she did take our new insurance but, I did not give her a copy of my credit card.(which was very odd!! I had to sign paperwork for a copy of your credit and that she will take you to court if payment is not given. but anyway I had a sick baby and he needed to be seen) Our son was seen and everthing seemed okay exeptf when we were checking out she stated that her credit card machine was down and could she run our card for our 25.00 deductible a little later? We said sure we never had any problems before. Until I got a voice mail at my work in August from Dr. herself stating she could not get a hold of our insurance co. ( which is a large insurance co and has a provider line) And she was going charge our card for $160.00. for my son's office visit. I called her back as soon as I got the message and it went to her voicemail which is always full and they never answer the phone. So I called my insurance company and got straight thru to them. I'm not what her problem was getting a hold of them. So in September sure enough she charged my credit card 160.00 I received a hand written note stating that I had deductible (that we do not have) and to apply the charges to my deductible. There was no explanation of charges it was the craziest thing I have ever seen !!! Her office never attempted to bill my insurance co per my insurance co. I have tried numerous times to call which goes to a full voice mail and they never answer their phone, I have driven to her office numerous times and they are not open. Per my Insurance co I can submit the claim but, I would need a detailed bill not hand written piece of paper. This is truly unprofessional I will never return to her practice again.

This DR. is unprofessional! My son and I went to her office for help my son had a severe fever of 103.5, pink eye a sinus infection and a upper respiratory infection. He has MI child Ins. she turned us away she was crude and talked down about us in the parking lot she told me she needs to stand up against MI child for her rights she was mean and rude. I wish that people would see another DR. if looking for compassion you will not find it with this woman.

I had a horrible experience at Urgent Care in Fenton this evening. Not only was the office manager rude and obviously bothered that we showed up at 8:50pm (they close at 9:00), the interaction I had with JoAnne Johnson (I don't think she deserves the title "doctor") was absolutely baffling! After providing my insurance card, and driver's license, I actually read the paperwork they handed me. This not only demanded my credit card number, expiration date, and SECURITY CODE from the back before getting treatment, it also required me to agree to allow them to use my signature to make charges on my card at their discretion. In addition to this I was supposed to agree to give up my rights granted to me by the credit card company and my insurance company. I spoke with the receptionist and office manager to express my concerns and unwillingness to sign the papers presented to me. At no time did I lose my temper, yell, or curse. At that point, the "doctor" came out and I attempted to explain to her my concerns. I told her that it's obvious the office isn't managed properly, as I had never been able to get an answer when I called the office number, and that the voice recording I'd heard today was one that addressed the office closing early a week ago Monday, and that I'd had rushed over in hopes of finding them still open. Johnson was obviously concerned however that someone might hear my legitimate concerns, because she had the audacity to tell me to leave or she would call 911. I explained that she needed to provide better service to her patients and she began to scream at me: "Walk away now. You are not my patient. You are scum under my feet!" As tempting as it was to want to stay there while she called 911 and explained that a prospective patient was calmly stating legitimate concerns with her way of doing business, I felt my daughter had been through enough and needed medical treatment, so I calmly left. Thankfully, I found another after hours location across town where she was able to get excellent medical care, provided in a quality, professional, respectful manner.

My husband and I took our daughter to Urgent Care this evening because she was violently ill for a couple of hours. Dr. Johnson showed zero compassion and no integrity. While my daughter was waiting to see her, she left the front desk without a word to us and after my daughter threw up several times in less than 15 minutes I called for the doctor. She came out of the exam room and had the nerve to yell at me that she was with a patient. Had she stated politely that she'd be with us I'd have understood. Instead she threw our paperwork at us and told us to get our sick kid out of her office. That is definitely not the kind of treatment I would ever expect from a medical professional. Not only will I never go there or recommend the facility, I will also be reporting her actions to the medical board.

Dr. johnson is what i believe to be the best doctor in town! she cares about everyone and knows what she is doing. I would put her on the top of my list when anything is needed. She isnt just a good doctor but also a great person. I am ashamed of all you people bashing on her. If i knew anyone that needed a doctor she would be the first on my mind!
keep doing what you are doing!!! you have helped me with so much. There is never a time where you havent made me better.

When Dr. Johnson first came to Fenton, she was the best doctor in town. Now her office is rarely open, double billings, and no return phone calls. I drive all the way to Grand Blanc or Flint now if I need an urgent care clinic.

Dr. Johnson has exceeded my expectations for helping me during a very difficult time. She has been through a lot and she is still going strong. However, I have recently changed my mind on how caring she actually is. I have called left messages, and ask for refills after seeing her a week before. Never got a response and when I called again and again, with attitude she answer like I was supposed to know the answer was "no." I will not be going back again. I really wish I could go but the 3 hours wait is not worth it and for the attitude and unpredictable behavior.

I would like to say that I believe Dr. Johnson has treated me with the utmost kindness, caring and professionalism that I have ever experienced. I am amazed after going through some of the other reviews that people have actually experienced anything other then what I have. She has been treating me for an infection in my arm and has called me at home to check on me as well as staying after hours to accommodate my busy schedule. She has had one of the best bed side manners and I am extremely grateful of how her and her staff have treated me. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone of my friends or family members. Thank you Dr. Johnson

Urgent Care is a great asset to our community. When I first moved up here I went to the area hospitals emergency rooms more than once. Every time I had to wait for six hours or more. I would end up leaving with out even seeing a doctor and still getting a bill.
I was more than thrilled when I found out about Urgent Care. Dr. Johnson and her staff have been very professional and courteous to me and my family at all time.
Last summer my Husband needed surgery to have a cyst removed and he was on a tight schedule. Dr. Johnson was able to have him in and out of her office in a matter or hours. He is still very thankful for her care. It gave him a few more hours to be with his terminally ill Mother. That is just one example of how Dr. Johnson goes out of her way to provide good care. She has helped me so many times I can not even count. I think she is a Godsent.
I think the community should be very THANKFUL for having such a caring physician. THANK YOU DR. JOHNSON.
