Arrived at Lill's at 8:30 PM on a Sat. We were seated relatively quickly. However, that is when it started to go downhill. We waited to be served, then after 10-15 mins. the owner or hostess told us that they were out of a lot of the things on their menu. Which was fine, but she would have to check on what they had available. After waiting another 10 mins, I decided that the waitress was never going to get to our table so I went to the bar to order drinks. I ordered 2 Hienekens and an ice tea, only to be told by the lady behind the bar that they only had light beer. Another 5-10 mins passed before we got our drinks, then we asked the waitress what was available on the menu since the owner never came back. She went to go check and didn't comeback for another 15-20 mins, at which time we placed our order. The only thing she said that wasn't available was a cheese plate and the tuna tartar. Then 10 minutes later the owner comes to our table and apologizes but she would have to "approve" our order as the waitress was not instructed to not take orders until she figured out what was available. My biggest complaint about this is that from the time she told us that many things were not available on the menu to about when she came to our table for the last time, it was about 45 minutes. She never bothered to figure out what was still available on the menu in that time frame? However, she did find time to get wine and bread to the couple that was seated after us, while we had to place our order at the bar and never even received any kind of service. The kicker was that apparently they did have regular Heineken still since the waitress eventually brought out another bottle. The owner had the nerve to say that if we had made reservations then we wouldn't have had those problems. However, when a restaurant is out of food that is because the restaurant didn't order enough, regardless of reservations. The lack of service and the inability of the owner to get a handle on a busy night does not bode well for this place. I suppose I wouldn't be as upset if she had turned us away at the beginning or if she bothered to figure out her menu. We decided to leave after that, it was 9:30 PM and we were too hungry to even care. The food might be great, but I will never know since I won't be going back.

Pros: none

Cons: horribly managed
