My daughter had 103.3 fever. She is 16 months. Two hours waiting. All they brought me is a cold wash cloth. It fell on floor. They acted upset when I asked for a new cloth they acted put out. Stay away!!

I just had minor surgery done at their ambulatory care center and I have to say it was a vry pleasant experience. i was very nervous and the nurses there are very friendly and put me at ease right away. I did not have to wait long and the procedure went very smoothly. I would highly recommend their ambulatory care center.

My family has had to use the hospital for different events from births to surgeries to bloodwork and I am always happy with the service that we receive. The staff is knowledgable, the hospital is clean and the deli is not bad. The hospital is also easy to find parking at and easy to get into and out of which you do not find at the city hospitals in New Brunswick.

I was at the Freehold Mall, a few miles away from the hospital, when my infant developed a high fever and began screaming. I was unable to console her, and started to get scared. This was my 3rd child, so I knew something was wrong. I drove to Centra State, which was the closest hospital to the mall. To be honest, I was a little leary, as I didn't know much about this hospital. My fears were put to rest when I walked through the ER doors. From the moment I walked in with my baby, we were treated with professionalism, courtesy, and caring. The staff was wonderful in every way--the nurses and the pediatricians. They made sure my baby was comfortable the whole time, followed up with labs and radiology without delay, and explained everything that was being done. The nurse even offered to get me some coffee, which I thought was such a kind gesture. Another thing I thought was really nice is that they took care of my baby before asking for all of the insurance information. My baby's care came first, and that meant a lot to me. I've been to other ERs and that was never the case--all of the insurance information was always collected first, along with a copy of the insurance card, before anything was ever done. I would be comfortable going to this hospital again.

PROS: Courtesy, professionalism, prompt care
CONS: None

This is a very good community hospital. They do not have high-level trauma services, as trauma cases go to another hospital in the county, as do other complicated cases. However, for a regional facility, the outcomes are good, the staff is very attentive, and the hospital is well maintained and clean.
