My best-ever Massage and Facial was at Kaya. I also got my hair cut there last week last minute because I wanted to try a new stylist, and it was great too! I feel like I have found a one-stop place for all of my pampering needs! And they have a parking lot, so I that makes for an even better experience. I try to avoid Saturdays because it is really busy, but during the week and even Sundays are super low key and relaxing. Try this place if you haven't already, it's great.....

I was recommended to Kaya by a coworker and I will definitely be coming back. The service is unpretentious, the space is ultra-relaxed, and the service providers and staff are gracious and seem genuinely happy to be there. I read a former review about how the staff turnover is high, and this is obviously untrue, because the receptionist, esthetician, and nail tech that I saw have all been on staff since the day the business opened, which was almost 4 years ago! Get the facts straight before blaspheming a business all over the Internet, folks! Anyway, this place makes for an awesome experience and I would recommend it to even the pickiest of people!

Pros: Great products, truly relaxed environment

Cons: Not one!

Go to kaya day spa and get ripped off! Thats what will happen to you! There are better options in this city to get your nails, waxing, skin and massage services done at. Honestly, don't waste your time and money here! The services are average, there's a high technician turnover rate (that should be telling us something), and the management is HORRIBLE!!!!

I arranged for my fiance to take a half day spa package for her birthday. When she arrived, the staff told her that they had her scheduled the following week!! First they told my fiance that 'I' must have scheduled it that way (as if I wouldn't have remembered her birthday) but when I called to tell them that I had a document confirming that it was on that day, they only then became apologetic. Yet they still wouldn't even attempt to fit her in!!! Needless to say I had to scramble to find a way to make it up to her. Careless and totally unprofessional!!!

on several friends recommendations as "the best day spa in the city", i was curious to see if the the place was really that good. I figured i'd have a massage and a facial. After finding kaya, i parked in their large parking lot, and checked in upstairs at the desk. The reception was courteous and friendly. afetr i was given a gown and slippers, i rested in the mens quiet room. the water wall was nice and relaxing. i was then taken to the facial room and had my first srvice. she talked me through it. I'm a guy, and i did not know anything about facials, let alone the 15 different products that she used on my face. i had a very pleasant experience. the message was just the cherry on top. the music in the rooms and the aromatherapy temselves are extremely relaxing. i felt like a marshmellow. i gotta tell ya, woking the type of stressful job that i have, it is awesome that i can occasionally log off from my go go go life and have some exceptional professionals take care of me. thank you. I'm sending my mom.

I organized our company holiday party here and everyone was very happy! They made the entire process easy and quick. There were 20 of us and we all had 2 services, with food and drinks in between. Yeah, we paid a party fee, but we were stress free, they set everything up and cleaned it up for us, all we had to do was enjoy! We will definitely have our party here next year and a bunch of us will be coming back on our own.

I never submit reviews, but felt the need to warn other brides on this spa before being disappointed. Kaya charges a 10% service fee onto EACH spa service for having a spa party - I was told the fee covers the setup of food - which is a folding table, plates, silverware and glassware - that's it. I have never heard of a spa charging a client a service fee for bringing in more business?!! Kaya's website states that they will provide champagne, juice and water - they only provided water. I had justified in my mind that the 10% fee would cover the champagne and juice that would be provided. I was told the week of the party that they could no longer provide the champagne because of a citation given to them by the city that Kaya is NOT TO SERVE ALCOHOL. However, TODAY they still state on their website that they will provide champagne and juice!?!! Unfortunately, I feel the owners of Kaya misrepresent themselves and false advertise their spa parties. They are clearly much better at servicing one client at a time instead of taking on a large group.

Average services, mediocre decor/lounge ... my mother and I came for my birthday. Although the services were average/ok, I thought it was rather overpriced for what we were getting. However, the staff was very friendly, accommodating, and welcomed us with a good standard spa setup (robes, sandals, locker) ... this went a long way considering that the services were a borderline disappointment. Needless to say, they might consider improving the overall experience. For the same prices, you might find better elsewhere - however, given how hard they tried to please, they might be worth giving a 2nd chance.

I love this spa. It?s changed me from a spa ?dabbler? to a spa enthusiast.

My daughter used to buy me gift certificates to my old spa to no avail. I went there for waxing, an occasional pedicure, and only submitted to a facial or massage because of the gift certificates. No treatment could lure me into a regular.

Kaya changed all that. I started going just to try the waxing (their products are so gentle to the skin the experience has been consistently good). But this time as I tried the various services and treatments I found that I wanted to come back for more.

The first facial I tried was the Kaya signature facial and I loved it so much I was reluctant to even try the other options. But when I worked my way to the Lavender Fields facial I thought I died and went to fragrance heaven. Now I alternate between that and Zen Harmony because I?ve discovered that once these facials start I don?t want them to end.

Probably the most surprising experience was with massages. I don?t know why but my few former forays onto massage tables usually resulted in me hurting and vowing to never submit to them again. I understand that people (my sister included) love deep tissue massages, but I really, really, really do not want to be pummeled. Catering to my preference, the masseuses at Kaya have turned me into a regular massage customer.

I never used to get why people invested their time in spa treatments. I do now. I rate Kaya a 10.

My husband & I came here a few times which were great so I went ahead & booked "the day before my wedding party" here w/5 friends. We had a very mixed experience. Manis & pedis were fine but due to a holiday parade in the Loop, some of us were late & spa front desk was not accomodating to our party because another party was coming in soon. One of my bridesmaids had to have her appts cut short because it was either her or me. I understand rules are rules but I brought in a lot of business that day & the staff would not offer a reasonable resolution or compromise to the issue in order to please me or their new clients. I will never book a party here or come in for an individual service because I can take my business elsewhere. It's a shame because some of the staff members were courteous & skillful. Also I found the extra "spa party fee/charge" per person a little absurd at first (and as the host, I covered this charge for my friends because it would have been rude to let them pay this themselves) but also understand why some spas require this. However, after this experience, this extra cost felt like a burn to our party. Also, some of my friends were offered services during the pedis but not informed that these services were extra so their bills were more expensive than they expected. The staff should mention every time to the client if a service is additional or not. Before this spa party, I would have rated this spa a 9.

I have been to spa parties far and wide due to being in quite a few bridal parties in the last year and a half. This particular Spa Party I was in charge of booking and found Kaya on the internet written up as a great spa to go to for groups. I cannot say enough good things about this place. The entire party was pleased with the atmosphere and their services, not to mention the receptionists were at our beckon call for beverages (mimosas!) and anything else for that matter. We brought food and they were prepared to set up in advance. I went through the Spa Director/Manager to book the party and she was very thorough and organized, she was chasing me as opposed to the other way around to get everything scheduled. She was also there the day of our party to oversee that things were going smoothly. I cannot believe how well it all went. Gotta give praise where praise is due!

I went to Kaya because I received a coupon in the mail for 15% off your first service and was pretty impressed. Kaya has a very detailed website that explains the services very extensively so I barely even had any questions when I was booking. The receptionist I spoke to was very friendly and helpful and I was able to get in when I wanted to. I had a wax, a body treatment, and massage and all services were consistently wonderful. I will definitely return.

My sister recommended Kaya to me since she lives in the West Loop neighborhood (she happens to be a regular there), and my, what a hidden treasure this place is. The front desk is fantastic to start off with, and I was transported to the locker toom where they had me change into a cozy robe and slippers and then led me to complete relaxation in the "quiet room". Had a moment to meditate and then was picked up by my lovely massage therapist who was thorough, knowledgeable, and took some time to help me understand what my problems were. If you need to relax and chill out, Kaya is the perfect place to do it. Thanks to my sister, I am definitely going back!

Problems occurred just walking in the door. I had a friend recommend Kaya and decided to try it out. The receptionist was overtly sweet until I asked about pricing upon which there was a brief condecending converstation about coming into a spa if I was concerned about spending money. I have more than enough money to spend, I just dont like wasting it on incompetance. Unfortunately I did not follow my gut instinct and ended up recieving poor quality treatment...from my horrible massage (I am still sore...and not in a good way)...to a manicure that felt like I was being tortured and it looked like I did it myself. I do not recommend this Spa at all. There are so many better options in the City...

I was searching for a Spa that offered various Skincare Treatment Services, and I happened to find Kaya's.
I was pleasantly surprise by the Professionalism and Courtesy the Staff displayed upon me, from my Arrival to Departure from their establishment.
My Esthetician: Jamie Rowland was wonderful. She was quite knowledgeable in her craft, and I came away with information that I found to be very useful in maintaining my Skin Regiment, including purchasing several Skincare Products (Sonya Dakar), that I use daily.
I found Kaya Spa to be a great experience. I have even told my Collegues and Friends. I make it a point to get there every Three-Weeks for my Treatments; If I don't, I feel that I'm now missing something... The Experience.

W Hotel concierge referred me to Kaya and even made my appointment for me. As soon as I enterd the door I felt at peace. Everyone was lovely and the services were superb! I even ended up just hanging out for a while after my services just sipping tea, playing on the internet and catching up on my magazine reading! I just didn't want to leave, and no one made me feel rushed to get out. Next time I am back in Chicago I will set a day aside just for Kaya Day Spa, my new friend!

I got a gift certificate for a massage, mani, pedi- couldn't book them together so had to go separate days. Massage was generic- I've had much better people in tune with my muscle tension. Pedi was cut short about 10 minutes (should have been an hour). Manicure quality was subpar- uneven application and the manicurist missed the sides of my nails completely. It's only a been a few days and it already looks bad. The worst part was that they said I owed them money because they had change prices since the certificate was purchased. A spa should cater to the clients- it's a service industry, not a retail department store. Poor form to demand money on a itemized gift certificate. I also wanted to apply credit I had towards a gift certificate for someone else. The receptionist became snotty and condescending when she didn't understand the simple transaction I was trying to make. I left not at all feeling relaxed and indulged. Definitely better service and quality elsewhere.

My fiancee and I received a couples gift certificates and were thrilled to have this "romantic" opportunity. However, soon into the massage it truly lost its romance.

My fiance had a great experience with Madonna. However, my therapist spent 25 minutes on one part of my back, did not use lotion/oil, and ignored the rest of my body. I politely brought this to her attention, and she moved on to my legs (My fiancee was half way thru his massage at this point). She continued to miss large portions of my legs (rubbing the outside, missing gluts, 10 second hand massage/foot massage etc). I even felt "uneven" on one side.

I must say, before I came here, it never entered my mind that there was even such a thing as a bad massage....

When the Spa Director asked me how it went, I explained my concerns. She dismissed me completely.

I have been to Kaya several times and for various services, and each time just gets better and better. The first time I came was for a bridal party and I was completely blown away by how on-time and organized the staff was with all of our services. After that, I knew I would be back for more. The front desk pays the utmost respect and courtesy to me every time I come in (offering delicious teas or mimosas) up to the minute I leave (they don't rush me out), and even after I am gone...they sent a Thank You card with incentives to come back. I have had waxing, pedicures, massage, and facials here and refuse to go anywhere else. Just when I thought it didn't get any better, I found that they have a FREE parking lot...Kudos, Kaya!

The service was excellent and everyone was very accomodating, making me feel very relaxed. This is one of the best massage and facial experiences I have had. I had great results and felt that my money was well worth the service. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and well serviced spa.

I have gone here a few times and am finally crossing it off my list. The services are ok, nothing great. But the last time I went I had an eyebrow waxing and was scarred for a few days. The tech had the wax waaaaayyy too hot and I had red welts for two days. The receptionists didn't seem that concerned and said it was normal (I've never experienced this). I sent a letter to manager but haven't heard back (it's been three weeks now). That's pretty awful customer service. Stay away.

I sent a letter to manager but haven't heard back (it's been three weeks now). That's pretty awful customer service. Stay away.

Kaya is a fabulous day spa!!! The facilities were very serene, spacious, & open. I absolutely love the quiet rooms stocked with magazines, relaxing music and the best (blueberry!) hot tea. I have experienced a massage, body treatment, manicure and pedicure in their hands--overall my experiences have been wonderfully relaxing. The estheticians are very gentle & thorough. The experience was well worth the $$$!!!

With high expectations from other online reviews, both my husband and I came away from Kaya disappointed. My eyebrow wax with Georgia and Kaya Signature Facial with Shanda were amazing. Both were very thorough and professional. Shanda answered all of my skincare questions and took the time to evaluate my personal skincare needs. I recommend both Georgia and Shanda. My massage, on the other hand, was horrible. Thiome, my massage therapist, asked at the beginning what areas he should concentrate on but then ignored my suggestion. He never massaged my neck, feet or hands even though it was supposed to be a full body massage. I spent the entire hour on my stomach! With my entire right/left side uncovered, I quickly became cold. At the end of this awful experience he akwardly mumbled that he was finished. A massage therapist should be attentive and intuitive.

Pros: Parking

Modern and inviting atmosphere with a very professional and welcoming staff. I was really surprised to find this spot in the West Loop and with a free parking lot! My pedicure was relaxing and the polish was perfect! I also received a great wax treatment from Georgia. I have searched far and wide and was really pleased with the wax. It was almost almost pain free and my skin was extremely smooth. Also, the selection of hot tea was really good and a nice touch.
