The Scene
This Renaissance-Revival building once housed Boston's Federal Reserve Bank---check out the original bronze doors, as well as marble, granite and gold leaf interior finishings. It is widely reputed to be one of the best business hotels in the city, offering a full business center, nine refurbished meeting spaces and high-speed Internet in the guest rooms.

The Details
Rooms feature large, sloping windows, especially on the top floors-some boast scenic views of Post Office Square. The pinnacle accommodation is the Presidential Suite. The hotel is loved locally as a venue for power breakfasts and lunches, as well as for being the site of Café Fleuri's Chocolate Bar. The French restaurant Julien is experiencing a renaissance under the guidance of Chef de Cuisine Edward Farrow. The pool area has a cool industrial look to it, and workout equipment is arranged under a sky-lit atrium. Spa services include in-room massage. In short: this hotel is a real find in a beautiful area.

Outstanding Service - We Loved The Langham!

by Sam S.

We just returned from a wonderful three-night stay at The Langham Hotel. The hotel is beautiful and offers all of the amenities that you would expect from a 5-star hotel - exceptionally comfortable, quiet, rooms, plush beds with lots of pillows, wonderful restaurant and bar, new health club/spa... yadah yadah yadah.

What really sets this hotel apart is the keen attention to service that we found throughout. At no point did we walk past an employee and not have them say Good Morning, Afternoon or acknowledge us in some pleasant way... . We booked our reservation with the hotel directly and mentioned that it was our anniversary. Upon arrival at the Reception Desk, the young lady who registered us wished us a Happy Anniversary and truly cared about making our stay perfect. She took time to find a nice room for us on the 7th floor that overlooked the park. It was not an upgrade (as the hotel was sold-out) but the fact that she took time to get us a nice room made us feel special. We made our dinner reservation with the Concierge several days before our arrival - the date and time were reconfirmed in the form of a message in our room. When we arrived at the restaurant (outside of the hotel) the reservation was in order and they too wished us a Happy Anniversary. At the end of dinner, we were treated to dessert and two glasses of champagne from The Langham. When we returned to our room later that evening, we found a nice bottle of wine and homemade petit fours.

This hotel made us feel extra special throughout our stay and we look forward to returning again next year!

If you are looking for a place to go with some friends and have good foods and drinks this is your place. The drinks are pricey but the good food makes up for it.

This restaurant never disappoints. The dining room is spacious and beautiful, and elegant. A special place for a special occasion. The food and wine are exceptional and we've never tasted a thing we didn't like. Very expensive, but worth it.

Just like Europe

by Polyglott7777

I stayed at le Meridien hotels while I lived in Europe and was curious to come here. Despite my bad cold, I had a wonderful time here. Received a room upgrade and resided in a large room with a tremendous view and a gigantic bed. I relied heavily on room service, which was a Godsend. The staff is multi-lingual, so I got to practice foreign languages while staying there. I can't wait to go back when I'm not sniffling!

Pros: excellent staff, great room service, good location
