5 stars for Giuffre Auto Group service department.
Simply said, that my experience at Giuffre Mazda service department was the BEST auto repair experience of my life. Recently, I brought my vehicle in for a routine oil change and to get the brakes checked. My advisor was Edward and upon my arrival he was awesome! As I don??t have much knowledge of cars, Edward listened to my concerns and made recommendations for what was required to keep the maintenance of my vehicle up to date. He took control and reassured me that he would have the tech look at and assess what needed repair and that he would get back to me before doing anything. Shortly after I received a follow up phone call from Edward explaining the next steps and gave me the best options that met my needs and what was also most cost effective... that never happens... I was extremely impressed!!! Additionally the work got done in no time at all and my car was ready for me to pick up since I was traveling out of town later on that day.

As it turned out, a few weeks later, on separate occasions, I had to return to get two tires replaced. During those occasions, I was able to make a phone call to the service department to contact Edward directly who was readily available to assist me again. I have never experienced personalized service as this ever before and am extremely grateful that I am able to trust and rely on the exceptional service that Edward has provided to me. You simply cannot beat that kind of customer care.

Also worth mentioning is how genuinely nice of a guy Edward is. He clearly loves his job, loves interacting with people, and is sincerely concerned about the customer's safety and the well-being of the vehicle. Thank You Edward and Giuffre Auto Group for this pleasant experience and for making a lifelong customer out of me, for sure.

I had a good experience today at the Giuffre Auto Group. I received a notice from the Group stating that my car needed some maintenance, due to a recall that was being done by the manufacturer, on Monday. Tuesday I called to see what the recall was about, as I did not experience any problems driving the car, the individual (Sal) asked that I call back so that he could look into the matter. As requested I called back he explained the possibilities, at which time I had asked him of the time frame, as I need my car for work. He told me that if the parts were in stock on the day of my appointment they would be put in the same day, if however the parts were not available, I would be able to take the car and return upon availability. (This was not something that was hazard, rather a precaution by the car manufacturer). After the conversation I was transferred to the receptionist who made my appointment for Saturday 9am. I arrived at Giuffre on time. I once again inquired of the time frame and part availability, to which the representative replied that I would be home bound within one hour and thirty minutes. I told him I would be back to the minute, sure enough when I got back it was ready to go.
I did read all the negative comments about the Group, which made me somewhat skeptical about bringing my vehicle, but all went well. I am a little disappointed at some of the comments in regards to the language, lets try to present the facts and leave nasty language out of it. (Please proof read the comments as well or use Word).
PS. I will go to my regular mechanic with the receipt provided, which details the work that was done, to make sure that it was in fact done.

I went to the service dept to get a transfer case leak repaired. Since I have extended warranty, I don't mind going to the dealer to fix the issue. But they did not fix the leak. They somehow find a way to break my key and scratch my door.

I rarely write such a poor review but I feel it is necessary to warn anyone who attempts to purchase from Giuffre only because you would have to deal with the auto mechanic if you have a warranty (or should I say so you think you have one).

There is such poor customer satisfaction and until they realize telling people yes something is under warranty and then later telling you it's not then this place should seriously close down. I was trapped into sending my car all the way there where in fact I could've easily brought it up the block for almost 200.00 less. My mistake was not getting a name of the person who said it was under warranty, although I'm not even sure that would've made a difference. When I explained to Tim over there the situation he was nice enough to listen and apologize, but unfortunately his boss Tommy was the complete opposite. Customer satisfaction class 101 should've told you to at least apologize to the customer. Clearly he shouldn't be dealing with people. And what did he offer as to satisfy myself and maybe stop me from writing this truthful review, nothing. Luckily AAA will tow from one place to another if you haven't already towed it to that one place already. Tommy and the person who lied to me over the phone will never realize the trouble you put me though. As having a broken foot, a 19 month old to take care of, and a husband who took enough time off from work wasn't enough, I now have to deal with rude untruthful mechanics.

We searched for a used car found it at Giufrre group. Called 4 times to confirm the price. Test drove the car and said okay we'll take it. We asked if there was room for negotiations the salesperson said no. We said okay, we'll pay the asking price. Salesperson gets up and does the usual disappearing act for 15 minutes comes back and says, "What loan terms do you want?". We say, no we are paying in CASH. No loan. We want to buy the car. The salesperson then tells us, "oh no, I can't sell this car unless you buy it with a loan from us."
The manager comes over and is rude and arrogant and tell us I don't sell cars unless you take out a loan for it. What a great way to rob unsuspecting people that can least afford to have huge payments on a used car.

Giuffre Kia Mazda Mitsubishi Hyundai is a car dealership that preys on consumers. You will regret any dealings with them. They engage in bate and switch tactics, they provide consumers with incomplete and inaccurate information and they try to trick consumers into purchasing warranties that they do not need or want.

At the end of December 2009, I called Giuffre and asked about the availability of a 2004 Lexus RX 330. They told me that the car was available and I went in to see it. When I arrived, I was driven across town to see the car and told that the vehicle was actually moved to another location only minutes after my call notifying them that I was coming in to see it. WHY? After this inconvenience and waste of time, when I arrived at the other location, I noticed that I was being shown a more expensive 2005 and not the 2004 that I inquired about. I was told by the agent that the 2004 was sold quite some time ago. "Then why was I told it was here?" I asked. The agent said that the receptionist probably didn't check. I had travelled all the way to Brooklyn from mid-town manhattan by train and figured I would go ahead and look at the 2005. When I went into the car, it would not start. I was told that it would need a jump and guess what, the cables were back across town at the other location. So why didn't I leave then you might ask? Because I had already invested a couple hours. When I went back to the first location. I was convinced to stay there and wait for the car to be brought to me. While waiting I asked to see the carfax report several times to no avail. Finally, after demanding to see it, I was given an abbreviated version that omitted all pertinent information. I became increasingly suspicious and called a friend who ran the report for me. The full report revealed that the car was in an accident - information that the dealers intentionally and deceitfully withheld. Hours later I was still at the dealership, I finally test drove the car, liked the car in spite of the accident and decided to purchase. (I know, in retrospect I realize I should have ran for the hills many times but understand, these people are very good at what they do. their tactic is to delay and wear out the consumer so that eventually, out of desperation and exhaustion, they agree to purchase.) I returned the following day to purchase the car. The agent who handled financing went over the terms and I heard him quickly mention the word "warranty". I asked him to repeat more slowly and confirmed that they were trying to sell me a $3000 warranty. I explained that I did not want to purchase it. And guess what, after 8 hours of my time wasted, travel expense to and from the dealership, Giuffre refused to sell me the car without the warranty. They figured that I had invested so much, I wouldn't possibly walk away. But I did. I wish I read these reviews prior to dealing with this shady company. It amazes me that this dealership is still in business.

Finally, after demanding to see it, I was given an abbreviated version that omitted all pertinent information. I became increasingly suspicious and called a friend who ran the report for me. The full report revealed that the car was in an accident - information that the dealers intentionally and deceitfully withheld. Hours later I was still at the dealership, I finally test drove the car, liked the car in spite of the accident and decided to purchase. (I know, in retrospect I realize I should have ran for the hills many times but understand, these people are very good at what they do. their tactic is to delay and wear out the consumer so that eventually, out of desperation and exhaustion, they agree to purchase.) I returned the following day to purchase the car. The agent who handled financing went over the terms and I heard him quickly mention the word "warranty". I asked him to repeat more slowly and confirmed that they were trying to sell me a $3000 warranty. I explained that I did not want to purchase it. And guess what, after 8 hours of my time wasted, travel expense to and from the dealership, Giuffre refused to sell me the car without the warranty. They figured that I had invested so much, I wouldn't possibly walk away. But I did. I wish I read these reviews prior to dealing with this shady company. It amazes me that this dealership is still in business.

They are either incompetent, deceptive or both. Avoid them at all costs. If you are having any problems with you car, you will end up having even more problems if you go to them for service. They either screw up your vehicle on purpose so that you keep coming back to them to get it fixed, or they are just plain incompetent and don't know what they are doing.

Crappy Service. Incompetent phone manner. Poor follow-up. They are the closest dealership to my home so I have gone to them a number of times. And they continue to demonstrate a crappy attitude every time.Hopefully, the crumbling auto industry will put them out of business.

on July 08 i wnt to lease Mazda cx 9, they convinced me in order to get the best price i should buy car for 6 months and keep milage under 6 monthsand then they will transfer it to lease with a payment around 300 dollars for 20 months, i trusted them , they are a big dealrship!!, i went 2 days ago , on 12/6/08, the manager denied evry thing and refused to make his promises, then i called 911 but they could not do anything becasue i have a contract with them, so i get stucked with a payment of 736 dollars for 5 years. please do not ever think to go there.

Terrible service and questionable diagnostics. I would be very weary of this place. I can't speak for the workmanship because I retrieved my vehicle after waiting a week for something that I was told would take a day.

Spotted a 2005 Altima online and was interested. Called to verify that Altima was still available(on lot). Tenesa, told me it was available and located at lot on 86th Brooklyn. She also told me that they had a few Altimas that I could see.
Within 10 minutes I was at the lot. They had NO ALTIMAs on the lot. When I asked for Tenesa, the salespersn Tony, told me he was her boss. He then proceeded to tell me it was at a different location (5th Ave). I asked him to call the 5th Ave location and he did. There also, NO ALTIMAS!!! When I got back home I called Tenesa and she said she would get back to me within 5 mins with where Altima would b e located. NEEDLESS TO SAY, SHE NEVER CALLED BACK.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING OR GOING TO THIS DEALERSHIP. THEY TELL YOU ANYTHING, IN HOPES THAT YOU GO TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY CAN SELL YOU A CAR.

Very poor service. Predatory sales personnel, intimidating and not at all courteous. After sales service very poor and no support from the sales team after they have sold you car. They forget you the moment you have bought a car. Will never recommend this car dealership even to my enemies. I bough an elantra ex stock and they did not update my info with Hyundai USA. The sales manager would not take calls and when he did he asked a telephone operator coordinate who was rude from the begining and not at all helpful. Think many times before you set foot into giuffre Hyundai preferable take a lawyer with you.

The people are really nice when they try to get you to buy their vehicle. Once i bought one and when i went back for questions, assistant....they rather chill around then spend a few minutes with you. I actually have a law suit with them for breach of contract and i won! Anone that read this message....beware of the financial guy.
