I took my family for the first time on a Duck ride in Wisconsin. I was very impressed. The driver went over all kinds of history, and pointed out different points of interest. The ride lasted an hour and was worth every penny. My children had a great time.

If you have never been on the Ducks while visiting the Dells, you are missing out. The landscape here is absolutely perfect for an adventurous Duck ride. The driver always makes it exciting. They usually stop for an interesting history on Native American culture. Small children "might" be scared on this drive, but nothing that a little parental hug can't keep quiet. The prices are expensive, but the ride is worth it.
PROS: fun family ride
CONS: pricey

The ducks are so much fun, and they're also very informative tours. You get to drive all over the Dells area both by land and sea, courtesy of the "ducks," which are retired military vehicles that can also go straight into water. You'll learn alot about the geological landscape of Wisconsin and have a good time!
PROS: Fun and informative
CONS: none

old "ducks"- interesting experience. the tour is nice, you'll see some interesting stuff. It will be a riot for the kids, that's for sure. But if you go once, is more than enough. And for river - take a real boat tour. It is worth it.
PROS: funny
CONS: bumpy ride (can be a wet ride, too)

...at least once. It's getting kind of expensive to ride these old WWII land and water crafts, but it sure is fun. They go flying down the land trails into the cool fern valleys and make a big splash into the water where you get a spectacular view of the dells. You also get some touristy info and some not-so-spectacular jokes. It's worth it for the thrill. The kids will love it.

The Ducks are incredible! These are not your normal feathered friends, but cool army ducks that can go on land and water. The rides are fun as you adventure through the duck trails and the tour guides provides lots of corny jokes.

The Dells Duck Rides are something you just have to do at least once when you visit, it's like a rule! Old WWII army ducks shuttle your around from downtown to the actual duck ride site. You'll drive over land, up and down scary hills, and then crash into the water! The machine is built for both land and water. It's very scenic. Try it once, after that -- the price might not be worth it to you.
PROS: scenic
CONS: price
