VERY DISAPPOINTED with my experience! I've been going to Aveda Salons for over twenty years. I had been going to this salon for about a year. My regular stylist was on maternity leave. I was booked with another stylist who didn't have as much experience, although no one had told me she didn't have as much experience. I expressed my nervousness over the phone to the front desk that I needed a full color, highlights and haircut but was anxious about doing it with someone who wasn't familiar with my hair. They assured me it would be fine. The stylist was a very nice girl. She asked what I wanted. I told her and asked if my regular stylist kept notes on my hair and could she follow them. She assured me about three times that she could follow the other girl's notes. I have dark hair. She put blond highlights in it. I told her the highlights were too light. I expressed to her that when she did my root touch up that I wanted it to be pulled through my hair as low lights. She said this was no problem. This also wasn't done. My regular stylist used a brush to paint them on. This girl let some of the color sit on my hair in the sink. It did not stick. My ends still look faded and blond. She trimmed my hair. I expressed to her I wanted VERY LIGHT layers that you could barely see to make my hair look fuller and give it height in the back only. She proceeded to cut a face framing layer. Not flattering on someone with a round face. My longer hair now looks tapered and outdated instead of full and shaped. I expressed my concern to the stylist. She said we could pull the lowlights throught next time I was in. I expressed my unhappiness again with the girl at the front desk. I called a day or two later and whomever answered said they would speak to Amy, the owner, and call me back. When she called back she said Amy had told her there would be no happy medium in this case and if I wasn't satisfied I should find another salon. She also said money seemed to be a problem with me and was I aware that the person I was scheduled with next was more expensive and would I be keeping that appointment? I told her I had no idea there were different prices for different stylists. No one had told me. I realized why the previous stylist did such a poor job. I told the girl that the stylist did not do what I had asked. She insisted the stylist had done what I wanted and they would not be compensating me in any way. I was shocked to be treated rudely when I had been a loyal customer and had been very calm and polite about this situation. It doesn't seem like they are interested in keeping clients or developing new client relationships. I'm also friends with a stylist that used to work there. She says that's why she left. Amy seems unconcerned about client satisfaction or treatment of clients. You are taking your hair into your own hands by going here!

I recently splurged and got a spa haircut here. This is when they massage your neck, shoulders and scalp and then cut and style your hair. It was well worth the price. They did a great job and it was very relaxing. They use Aveeda products that smell wonderful! They also sell Aveeda products which are hard to find in this area. Most of their spa services seemed reasonable. I will be going back for one of the spa haircuts again very soon. The salon was clean, relaxing and smelled wonderful. I highly recommend!
