Sayreville Family Restaurant

I have gone here several times with my family, and everytime I've gone the food has been excellent. The portions are large and definitely enough to fill you up. Family-friendly atmosphere. Service has always been good. Gives me the feeling of an old-style restaurant, with the booths and counter with stools to eat at if you wish.

I've been here three times (I never like to give up on a place just from one bad experience!) All three times, the waitress I had was extremely friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, however, the food leaves a lot to be desired. In particular, on my last visit, the turkey on my turkey club was old (it smelled rancid). The owners (or whoever worked the register) were somewhat rude. There were no thank-yous or anything. The guy has not looked at me once! I wanted to like this restaurant but I can't recommend it. The only reason I didn't give it two stars is because the wait staff is really great.

PROS: Friendly and efficient wait staff.
CONS: Not only is the food not good, it's old! The owners are not friendly.

this is a good place to go to if your looking for good food at a low price. they offer specials and offer you the right meals, when you want suggestions. If you are in the area you should give this a try and try some of there main courses, very good.

The Sayreville Family Restaurant is from the same owners of the original Jernee Mill Dinner and the popular Spotswood Family Restaurant. The menu is identical to the Spotswood location including the senior early bird specials. The space is plush and large with an ample amount of seating. The food is still incredible and a great value for the money. I don't even live in this area anymore but make it a point to go there when I am ever in town to vist.
