I worked with Shannon Garrett in 2007 for a chapter 13. He was readily available for Saturday morning appts. and late afternoon appts. which I had to have for my job is not flexible. He and his staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. Shannon spent a lot of time with me going over the process, explaining things to me and answering my many questions. I felt fully informed in making my decisions and about the process. We had our initial meeting and then met two more times before filing. I went in and in two hours completed the online manditory credit counseling course. I made one appearance in the court downtown which lasted no more than half and hour. I did not need to appear a month later for the final court date. The paperwork with my employer to take the monthly payment for my repayment plan went smoothly. The monthly amount comes right out of my check and to my trustee who handles paying my creditors. I got out from under about $40,000 in debt. I kept my house and my car went into the plan. I had previously been paying $448 on my car for five years. Now I have $430 come out of my check every month to my trustee to pay off my creditors AND that includes my car payment! The creditors no longer call and my credit debt is clean after I finish the five year cycle. The downside (if you look at it that way) is that I am not allowed to have ANY credit cards or open any revolving credit accounts. Downside is I have no credit. Upside is I have no credit.....so I have to get by on what I have each month, but I have no pressure of credit card debt anymore. Shannon's fee and the court fees are put into the program, so I didn't have to come up with any money up front, which was important....if you are filing for bankruptcy you don't have money....also, yes, your name will be in the newspaper, so be prepared for that. Hope this helps.

We recently had to file bankruptcy, and Shannon and his staff were great. They helped us every step of the way. We only had to appear in court once, and it was only for like 10 minutes. He kept us up to speed on what was going on with our case, and any time I had questions they were always there to answer them. His fees are also very reasonable.
