I've lived in the area my whole life and always come to delizia to get my pizza fix. They have the best pizza in the area. I've tried a lot of their other dishes as well and they are always good as well. The chicken parm is my favorite dish there. If you are in the mood for good Italian at a fair price check it out

We waited 1 hour from the time we entered back room until we ate. Let me tell you: dinner was NOT worth waiting for! The sauce was overly-sweet & poured on. The prices are reasonable which is about all I can say for it.

This restaurant provides a cozy atmosphere and is a great location for fine dining on a low budget. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and constantly crave it.

I came here for the first time 3 weeks ago and have been back twice since. The food was excellent for the price and the service was always good. I'm also going to have them cater my girlfriends birthday party in two weeks and they worked out a very good deal for me. def recommended

I am a loyal customer of delizia 1st avenue. It is the best pizza on the upper east side. I order for delivery all the time. On occasion my wife and I will eat in the back room. But the service is so deplorable I would never recommend eating in the back room. It's not that the waitor is rude but there is only one guy waiting on 15 tables. I would recommend eating in the front of the resaurant if one wants a sit down meal or just get delivery. I would certainly recommend the food but the service in the back room is just awful. Mr. Owner - please add more staff to back room!!

This is a great place to eat for under $25 a couple. The pizza is some of the best I've had in town. The staff is super friendly! Occassionally the wait staff can get in the weeds quickly. Need an additional waitress on busy nights.

I've been staying at the Sloan Kettering Cancer hospital a couple of doors down and love going over to Delizia's. The staff is great and they're used to seeing kids with bald heads. They're open late and the food is excellent. From sandwiches to full pastas dishes they have it all. the front room is more informal and the back room is great if you'd like to have a more up-scale dinner (you know - wine, etc). They'll also cut up the slices into small pieces for your kids if you just ask. Man does that save time. Enjoy

Saturday afternoon I was walking with my family in our neighborhood and we decided to order whole pie of pizza from Delizia Pizzeria & Restaurant for lunch. What a mistake! First, we were told that it will take about ten minutes to prepare, so we sat down and waited. We had some drinks, coffee and after ten minutes my son came to the counter and asked when pizza will be ready? Answer was "not yet" -- no sorry, no time estimate, no respect! Meanwhile people kept coming in and out, some ordering pies, some slices, so 20 minutes passed by. I asked "cook" when our pizza will be ready and there were no elaboration on answer -- "not yet". When I insisted to give me time estimate, in rude form I was suggested to get my money back! Sure as hell I got it back (for not-received pie), but who will get my ruined mood back?
Do not go there unless you want your mood ruined!

Delizia is a great place to have a great meal for a great price. It has the greatest pizza you will ever taste and some of the most delicious italian specialties. The staff is great...and you can even have a great party there. Delizia is definatley the best

Its hard getting old school pizza these days. Eveything today is chicken pizza and salad pizza. This Delizia has thiese but is also know for its famous great white. They invented the white slice and it is to kill for. Just like the old country.

This friendly neighborhood place has great pizza and other specialty dishes. Enjoy a casual dinner in the small back dining room. The baked zitti is one of my favorites.

Great basic pizza and take out is open late on the weekends.

The setting you would expect for a pizza parlor.
